This pouch has been one of the best purchases I have made for carrying tools I need at hand all the time. The measurements are: Width = 2.75", Height = 6" and the depth = 3" when stuffed full. The back side has a webbed belt loop securely sewn on and has a metal belt clip riveted onto that. This gives you the option of putting your belt through the loop or just sliding it onto a belt for quick removal. Very versatile pouch with several pockets. The front flap comes down almost all the way. The clip for keys or what ever is still exposed but all the pockets are covered. Hope this helps.

Would the loop on the side hold a sure fire flashlight?

Doubtful. The loop is pretty small actually. Maybe the size of the small AA Mag Lights.

Will the main pocket hold my pixel with an otter defender case?

I do not think that this would hold a pixel with an otter defender case. The following is my reasoning. The inside dimensions of the main pocket are, 4.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide, 1 inch deep. These dimensions do stretch some, but not much. You can fit a phone that is 5-5.5 inches tall in the main pocket due to the main flap being capable of adhering higher on the main body. The dimensions that I found for the otter defender are as follows. 6.4 x 3.5 x 1.4 inches. The 6.4 and the 3.5 dimensions will likely exceed the inside dimensions even with stretching considered.
