Utopia Crafts Re-Cotton Knitting Yarn, 100g (Faded Blue)

The yarn is 80% cotton and has a nice feel bit it's quite thin and it unravels into a few strands which makes it difficult to work with. Also, the colour is way more grey than brown (as it looks on the picture) and that's disappointing.

Initially, when I read the reviews I was put off buying this cotton but I decided to try it anyway, as it has the perfect colours for the throw I want to make. I've started my throw and all the colours I've used so far have been lovely. I like the natural look to the cotton and the muted colours, the Aqua is prettier in reality and less bright and more muted which is to my taste. I'm using a clover soft touch hook, 4mm and it's not snagging or anything, snagging issues could be down to the hooks used. I personally love this cotton and how it's crocheting up, I think my throw is going to look great and I'd buy this cotton again. It's DK weight though NOT Aran but I thought it would be DK from others reviews, which is what my pattern called for. I'm happy anyway and find it absolutely great to work with.

Good quality cotton yarn good for baby clothes

I wanted a small cover for a table and didn’t fancy paying over the odds so I bought this yarn for £2.40.I used a 4mm hook and used up most of the yarn.Pros - Cheap, recycled, drapes nicely and end product feels and looks good.Cons - Yarn splits easily, says it’s Aran but I’d class it more as a DK and one of the ply strands was broken mid roll but I was able to carefully continue on.Would I recommend? At this price, yes. You’re getting 100g 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester and it works up nicely.
