Kind of terrifying at first but can be fixed with a better collar.
Just finished my first workout with his. I loaded the handle with weight plates from 5 lbs to 15 lbs and it is so incredibly easy to add additional weight and take it away. I have a series of metal macebells that I regularly use and was interested in having something I could incrementally increase and that isn't $300 like Adex kits out there. I also really like the feeling of a wooden handle as well compared to the knurled metal handles I'm used to. All great pros to this product. The only reason I gave this a 4 star review opposed to a 5 star, is that the weight collar provided does not hold the weights at the top of the handle. The weight collar slips down 3-4 inches then the weight slams into the weight collar when performing gada swings. Which means two things. First, this is terrifying at first because it seems like the weights are going to come down straight on your hands. And second, that is definitely going to damage the weight collar over time.I was able to just take a bandana, wrap the handle, then clamp the weight collar to that and it doesn't budge anymore. It would be good if it came out of the box without the collars slipping.Edit: I just bought a set of adjustable weight collars and they hold on great. Far better than the included weight collar. Increased the rating to 5 stars. I would recommend that the manufacturer just include an adjustable collar in place of the normal 2 inch collar they include now.

5/5 Bat, 1/5 clamp. Use Rogue HG clamps
5/5 bat is top notch for a wood product.1/5 Clamp. Can't even static hold 30 lbs, let alone bouncing it.Rogue HG clamp (static & bouncing) holds 30 lbs. I even tried pushing it down one handed with the 30 lbs on. Didn't budge. With Rogue HG clamps this product works amazingly well but the Rogue HG clamps are like $50.

A little warped. Could be worse, could be better.
The media could not be loaded. I'm sure this will work fairly well. The wood is seems tough enough. It feels pretty good in your hands. However I was expecting and wanting a straighter mace. Kind of want to give it 3.5 stars. I'm sure there will be many others thats are straighter and they can give the 5 star ratings. However, I have to knock it some. Not to mention it was late shipping.

Don't be fooled, it's a huge letdown
First off I would like to mention I bought this on their website and I'm reviewing here because they do not allow reviews on their site unless they're paid and given access.Let's start with the handle - it's a sanded smooth surface that is unfinished, meaning your hands will slide and your skin oils will eat it alive. The clip they give you to secure the weight is a standard (albeit extremely cheap) clip that just slides down the shaft when fastened. You can literally just gently push it down and up, not to mention when there is weight on it.The return system is awful since they force you to pay for return shipping and you have to reach out and set up some return that is off the books (not a documented process on the website). You may or may not ever even get your return.I'm going to try to finish it and add some kind of grip and use a different clip system to try to make it work since I'm stuck with it.I really regret cheaping out and not buying a 130-160$ metal one.
