Institut Esthederm Intensive Vitamin C Cream, Aging Face Cream for Dark Spots and Firming, Face, Neck and Décolleté

Love this product and am excited to find it available online. Good coverage with just a tiny bit, and I love the scent. I have used this Fir years and a little goes a long way. It is my “night cream” and lasts about 6 months.

The Institut Esthederm Intensive Vitamin C Cream is a night cream designed to produce a more even skin tone, fading the effect of dark spots on the face. It’s on the higher end of the price range for the average consumer but I believe that you actually do get more for the additional money you’re spending.Some minor things that I noticed when first opening it is that the aesthetics are different than any cream I’ve ever used in the past. I usually use Nivea face creams and this container is a lot better looking than those. However, the lid is prone to fingerprints which it’ll be covered in in no time. It comes with a little scoop that you can use if you don’t want to contaminate the main batch of cream by scooping some out with your finger.The cream works well on my skin. I have average – dry skin that I obsessively moisturize as I’ve started to develop some deep wrinkles. It has a rich, heavy texture that I would prefer using at night. I don’t like putting on heavier creams when I’m going out. It is scented and smells pleasant to my nose. It’s a moderate, not overpowering scent. One issue that I did notice is that it may make your skin react with the sun. For me, because I work outside, I will continue wearing it at night and wearing sunscreen during the day.I do think that Institut should spend a little more time adding more to the product description section of their product page because to a customer who doesn’t have the privilege of trying out the product first, it might be a little too vague to make a decision.Overall, if you can afford it, I think it’s definitely a step up from the value creams that I usually use. I don’t have enough dark spots and haven’t used it for long enough to speak to those effects but all around it’s a great cream.

I'm in my early 40's, I have dry to normal skin. I don't wear a lot of make up and take relatively good care of my skin. I've tried the Institut Esthederm Intensive Vitamin C Cream for about three weeks now, here are my observations...Pros:* not perfumy, though it has a nice delicate scent it is not a sickly, heavy scent* not too heavy, I've found that many of the higher priced, gourmet creams can often be very heavy and goopy. Though this cream isn't "light", it's certainly not heavy.* skin texture is improved. My skin feels very soft and not as patchy.* lasting benefits, even after an entire day my skin still feels very softCons:* A teeny bit greasy. Not so much that I wouldn't still give it 5 stars though!
