Impressive
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality compared to what the local shops sold for more money 💰. Also an extra set of stones was nice.

Rather nice hone
I'm surprised that this hone is as nice as it is. I figured since the price was reasonable it wouldn't be very good. Thankfully I was wrong. It looks to be made pretty well, & has honing stones attached during shipping. There is another set in the box as well. I've always wanted a cylinder hone that would fit my drill but wasn't able to get one until recently. I can appreciate getting one that will last for a long time. It's one of those tools that doesn't get used a lot unless you work in a machine shop. But I don't, so this will last. I can recommend this hone without issue. I gave 4 stars because I know there are better brands out there. But this hone is great for the price bracket it's in.

It Will Hone a Cylinder
I got this to repair a cylinder with a 4.12in bore that unfortunately had some surface rust from sitting. I still have not gotten to that project yet, but I will give my impressions of the product. I like that it is all metal in construction and seems more than adequate to do the job. I was a bit concerned when I noted that the box states it is for a 4 in bore as my engine is bigger than that, but found that it expands to much larger so it should work just fine. The honing stones are held to the arms with cotter pins. It comes with an extra set of stones too, along with cotter keys. I will give an update in a few weeks when I finally get the engine pulled from the car and disassembled. So far though, I do recommend it and would get it again.

Worked well for my purposes
I did not use this to hone an engine cylinder. I used it to hone and clean up the inside of an aluminum tube for a project. With a bit of WD-40 it worked quite nicely. While I can't say for sure, but I think this would work nicely on an engine cylinder.

Nice for DIY work
Gas powered engines are NOT cheap and they only fail when you need them most. Common among all the problems we seem to have with this equipment are bad gasoline, gummed-up carburetors, and bad piston rings. While the parts are somewhat affordable, going the final step when rebuilding a small engine is replacing the rings and cleaning up the cylinder with a honing tool like this. The price is very good and it held up well in putting good cross-hatch in the cylinders for me. It looks as if additional uses are certainly in store for the tool (while I'd rather not have to rebuild another soon), I'll be ready if need be.

I love it
This is nice to hone bushings that almost fit. It's best on copper as the Aluminum clogs them up super fast. It seems well built andxthe spring tension is about right on them. Holding up nicely and has a spare set of brushes. So nice.

so so spring
stones are nice and long, but cut deeper than implied even on light pressure. the spring mechanism sticks, but easy enough to work around. great for 2 strokes that have ports shorter stones would get stuck on.
