TRANE ComfortLink II XL1050 , TZON1050AC52ZA

Nothing stops a Trane except their 950XL t-stat!It came with my house as part of my Trane X16 HVAC package 11 years ago.But for the last 3 years it's been going offline routinely due to little inconsistencies in the local electrical grid.So the only T-stat that works with Trane hardware is theirs.So despite my better judgement I replaced the 950 with this 1050.And it has been magical.No more grid fluctuations that would knock the thermostat off line in the middle of the night!Or worse, in the middle of a snowstorm.The IDS humidity function has really increased our comfort.And pairing with the wireless sensor has eased the overheated false reading that might have prematurely ended the 950's worthiness.Anyhow, my seller on Amazon filerdeals are a top class act from GA. They sell authorized Trane components in new boxed condition. And are authorized Trane techs to boot.

These things are engineered incredibly badly. I've had three of them professionally installed and they still keep conking out, and with a mobile app that feels like it's from the Bush administration. Expect to have a $600 bill every 6-12 months and a few days in between of no access to your HVAC system.

Unit dropped right in and got my HVAC working again. A short little setup wizard with easily answered installer questions, so long as you know your equipment. Works great!

So after remodeling our house and installing two brand new ac units we found out we needed these thermostats. They are virtually mini computers that yes they turn the ac on but they also show you the weather and the forecast. To be honest I even asked my husband if I could get on Facebook with it, of course he said no. It was easy for my husband to install and it was easy to set up in the Nexia app. I control all aspects of both units right from my cell phone. I know they are pricey but in the long run it was well worth it!!

Bought as a replacement. Gods features. Easy to use

I have an older model Trane xv90 gas furanace (2 stage) and 2 stage ourdoor A/C unit. This connects to the needed relay panel as my indoor and outdoor units use the standard W , G and Y wires for heat, fan speed, and cooling. Installed easily with existing wiring. Much easier to program than the old system I had, plus it allows remote monitoring and control, and a much easier to read display.

It didn’t work with my system at all. I returned it in next day and paid 14 usd for shipping back. In the end, they charged 128 usd for restoring fee, around 20% of product price. Unbelievably, I want my full refund back.
