I thought this would solve my bread slicing problem but alas this is very very fiddly to use.The quality is very good but the design is flawed.1.The space given for the bread is quite large and cannot be adjusted therefore as you attempt to slice, the loaf moves about and is hard to keep in place with one hand whilst trying to slice with the other, especially if the loaf is soft.If you could adjust the width to the size of the bread so holding the loaf firmly in place, it may work.2. Because the width cannot be adjusted you'll need a long bladed bread knife to enable to span the width of the slots and even then I found it impossible to get a straight slice..I have given up trying to use this contraption and gone back to honing my freehand skills.

A brilliant design. However, it is far too wide for a loaf made in a bread maker, also too wide for a standard 8” bread knife blade. My husband was able to cut it down and adapt it, using various woodworking equipment taking 2” off the width. Now it is narrower I realise how good it is as I can cut loaves easily.

It is virtually impossible to use with home made bread from my breadmaker you cannot alter the width and it is so big an average serrated bread knife will not stay in both slots. Consigned to back of cupboard

Brilliant bit of kit! We only like fresh uncut bread and I’m the only one who can cut straight slices. My autistic teenage son always needs me to do his usually. But since getting this he can now be more independent and is able to cut bread with ease and put this away easily! Great invention! Gives various thicknesses and if you want even chunkier you can skip a gap and make the slice chunky doorstops!

The device is too wide. Most loaves are narrower. I use a good, long, old fashioned carving knife, and it still isn't quite long enough. Nor is the device tall enough, leaving the loaf sticking up, making the first inch or so of the cut unguided.
