The manufacture buried it, so I lead with it: There is one IC for every three LEDs, and the cut-lines delineate the 'pixels' that will light as one. This package is still a good deal for the roll of LEDs alone. 96 LEDs/meter can give the 'glowing-rope' or neon tube effect when diffused, and no one is ever likely to notice the 3-LED thing UNLESS there is strip in view with single pixels controllable. In that case you'll feel urged to rip these from their tracks and burn them in shame. Just kidding of course, these are capable of really great light shows that'll look better than any 60 LEDs/meter can. The strip format is generic 3-wire 'NeoPixel', so you can use a variety of readily available controllers and ever-more sophisticated free software. The DIY route (ex. WLED on ESP32) leads to the ultimate effects this hardware can produce, BUT you'll trade off reliability and convivence until reaching a level of familiarity with the platform.Come to think of it, if I made these I wouldn't've advertised a possible shortcoming either.

Mine didn’t work at first. I discovered my power supply was bad. Works great with a good power supply.If yours just blinks blue and doesn’t respond to the remote, check your power supply.

Nice light but not what youre thinking. It is not the one that you can plug in, you have to connect it but it is still great quality

I wanted to like these lights so badly, but I dont. I ordered two because, well, I was stupid. It may just be the controller but they turn themselves on and off sporadically. I am using the power pack that was advertised on the same page as the lights assuming that it was the right one and it looks like it is. The voltages match and all that, but even as I sit here writing this review, the lights around my whiteboard have gone on and off 3 times - this is regardless of the mode. I am going to try using them with a DIY controller and WLED to see if that fixes the problem, regardless, be careful ordering these - they are pretty! but dont work well.

Couldnt find any good zigbee controller with solid color option. Lightstrip itself is great.

This is in part my fault but also feels like it wasn't well explained either unless you have a lot of experience buying products like this so read carefully and this review is for those who also think, Oooh pretty lights and maybe don't know what to watch out for.This does not come with a power supply and there are literally no setup instructions other than explaining how to use the remote which is OBVIOUS. So for someone like me who's bought a ton of LED lights for the home but also has never really wired my own this was a surprise... The lights come with exposed wires which immediately made my eyes go wide cuz it was clear I was expected to do some wiring here but there were no instructions for how to do this wiring.I thought I looked at the pictures and read the description but I did not watch the video, the first time I watched the video it then explained I needed to also go out and buy a power adapter. So #1 this product is incomplete. #2 Even though the pictures show this being used on the outside of a house and on and around a bathroom sink, you might miss where it says in the description "THIS IS NOT WATERPROOF". So the pictures also feel misleading.So the lights might be nice but I am probably not going to go out and buy a power supply for one string of lights. I think this product is just not meant for the laymen, it's a very specific set of lights for a very specific use and person with more experience than me.

I love adding pretty light strips to our house & this one is excellent. It's bright & I was able to do a whole section of a room to add a little charm.

Does any one know what type of power supply this requires as it has not come with one??.
