Small book
I'm possibly out of date, but in my day, the York notes were bigger? It's not for me, it's for my son, but I was a bit taken aback by how small the book was. I'll let you know if he passes his exam!

Impressed.
My first order but not my last ! Having always been a little suspect about Amazon... these books and the DVD were the first things I purchased. So pleased I did. Great value, impressed with the quality and the accurate delivery date and time. My second order is on the way ! I am looking forward to receiving it

Good invest
Has some great quotes and points that you may not otherwise think of. Not wholly relevant to the A Level syllabus however.

Fantastic!! So helpful in doing a level English ...
Fantastic!! So helpful in doing a level English and this was so helpful. Let me see things I would never have thought of on my own, and helped me to analyse it in the depth I needed to get the marks.

Excellent!!
Excellent book offers varied analogy and intellectual interpretations that are helpful not only when writing essays but also to develop your own ideas. Definitely recommend it specially for your Edexel English literature AS exam.

One cannot help feel sorry for all protagonists
A very good reading for teenagers as well as adults. All characters have a dark side and one cannot help feeling sorry for all of them. They are in a pathetic situation and their future seems already written.... whatever they do, they are stuck in their environment and past.

You'll want to see the film.
Interesting, and evocative...but the play leaves you longing for the film.. and Marlon Brando's performance.

Four Stars
Good for coursework, shame the actual play is terrible
