Biogreen HK4.3/GB 4.3m/ 25 W Soil Warming Cable

I bought this to run along by oil feed pipe to stop it freezing and, so far so good, i made sure it was tightly bound along the pipe for maximum efficiency!

The cable arrived within 2 days. After a few minutes of pre warming to make the cable pliable I have now fitted it to the bench and connected it to a bio green thermostat the bench seems to be heating up nicely. I will review again once seedlings come through

simple and effective, but unless you are using it to take the chill off a fairly large volume of soil, you might find it is over-heating a smaller volume, in which case i strongly recommend combining it with a thermostat; i have resorted to using a timer, switching on and off at 30 minute intervals, which works ok.

Does what it is supposed to and is much more flexible than previous soil warming cables. It certainly speeds up germination of tender subjects and improves rooting of cuttings. Sensible price as well.

Time will tell if it lasts, seems robust and a reasonable price

I used this product to keep my plants warm during the cold weather.This product it’s easy to use and easy to adapt.Just lay this coil in a tray put some dry sand then lay plant pots and the heat is sufficient to do the job.

Ive been looking for a safe means of heating the soil for a while to grow winter salads and I think I have now found it.

this product came late, i was mislead by the picture, and i thoughi was getting a termo for this fitting as you can see clearly in the picture. over all the product looks cheap, but only time will tell if it was worth the price i paid.
