Pretty good-- not great. Effective on a limited basis.
Devices like this neck stretcher can be very useful when properly designed. This unit is pretty good-- almost there-- but not quite. For me, it provides some limited relief of my neck strain, and its easy to use-- so I rate it four stars. It does take some getting used to-- I used mine on our therapy bed (so a soft mattress underneath it as opposed to a hard surface) and felt that the height might be a bit tall for a flat surface-- because on the bed, it seemed to hold my head up at just about the highest point I might want (without discomfort). In any case, it does a pretty decent job of STRETCHING and supporting-- and that's really about all it's designed to do..... so depending on your physical form, it will either be a good fit for your body, or not. I am about 5'7", 150 lbs, with a medium build-- I would think if you're shorter, this might not be a good fit.Bottom line: good neck stretcher, definitely helps with that-- but that's about it.

Feels solid, provides a nice stretch
I like this! It feels well made and solid, and has just enough give.It provides a nice, deep stretch, without being too extreme. The bumps do create some pressure, but it's a good type of pain for me. I haven't noticed too many changes, but I like how it feels right after.

Didn't do it for us
I got this for my wife to help with her neck problems. Her first comment was that it was rather uncomfortable on her head such that she had to put a towel between it and her head. I suspect that defeats the purpose. It did not seem to apply the pressure where she thought it would be best. In any case, after only a few days of use she opted out. I tried it myself and felt similarly. It does tug on your skull a bit but it didn't feel good. Can't say more than that and it probably won't get used again. It seems like this device is credited with more benefit than it delivers. For us it didn't work as expected. The positives are that it is made of a durable, spongy material. But for what you get, it is way over-priced.

Hard, No Relief, No Instructions Included for Troubleshooting
Like some of the other reviewers, I found this difficult to use in a way that has results. It’s incredibly hard with little to no give. I looked up a couple of videos on how these are supposed to be used and they all appear to have far more give than this product does. The knobs protrude too far and dig in hard enough to make you not want to remain on it. I’ve used a lot of different stretching devices, and this is the first where the pain did not lead to the gain that I expected. After looking over some of the other reviews I added a thin blanket between me and the traction device, which made it more comfortable but still didn’t seem to yield much in the way of results. Maybe this one is supposed to be used in a specific way that is not described on the product page, but it didn’t come with any instructions, just a pressure point guide written in Chinese. It would appear that some people have been able to figure out a way to make this work for them, but I was not. Overall I don’t recommend this product, I’d say spend a little more and get one of the Doctor Recommended products that you will find attached to the videos that show you how to use them.

Takes some getting used to, but helps
My neck bothers me quite a bit. I’m constantly stretching and rubbing it. At some point I’ll need surgical intervention, but until then I’ll try everything else I can to get some relief. This device is pretty firm. When I lay on it, the angle helps to stretch out and relieve some of the tension in my neck. The nubs provide some firm pressure in some of the pressure points and muscles that are stiff. It takes some getting used to and a little practice to find what works for you, but I’m definitely adding this device to my toolkit for personal care relief. It’s sturdy and made well. I can see this lasting for a long time.

Helpful for neck pain and stiffness
I have issues with the bones in my neck and I have consistent pain and stiffness. This is a very helpful tool when I need to stretch my neck muscles. It can hit the right pressure points to where it doesn't hurt but you can feel the muscles in your neck start to relax. It feels like it extends into my shoulders as well. It is small enough to store under my bed and I can use it often without needing to clean it much. It is a good quality material and very sturdy.

Takes time to get used to but can be effective for some
I thought this was hard plastic but is made of a firm foam material. For people who have used different types of traction devices, this one does not feel comfortable from the get-go. I took a while to get used to it and for me, it did not help much as compared to even other ways such as hanging your neck off a bed while lying on your back or a particular stretch with your hangs around your neck (that I can't explain here but helps with traction). Having said that I will keep trying it more. As of now I would rate it as a 3/5, but it is not expensive and probably worth a shot to try.

Takes practice
This neck stretcher is relieving once you do it enough. It is a little painful at first because it is so stiff. After a while I can tell it helps though. Don't be discouraged at first.
