The media could not be loaded.  I was excited to see this product because my Chamberlain MyQ sensor kept falling off the garage door. My son accidentally ran over it without knowing it had taken a dive again. I've posted a photo of the poor cracked thing. Seems to be working OK though.Obviously, I didn't read this retrofit mounting kit's product info correctly. It's designed to fasten the powered transmitter to the garage door rail-- not the sensor. My transmitter is in a good place but the original adhesive tabs that came with the sensor, which is supposed to ride up and down on the garage door, failed due likely to a combination of things including a non metallic adhesive surface ( foil backed foam insulation), vibration and gravity when the garage door was open. I tried to reattach it with other adhesive strips, duct tape and zip ties but none held for long. There was nothing on the sensor that lent itself to being attached other than its flat back, and that wasn't enough for my situation.This kit, though, turned out to work for what I needed. I attached the kit's mounting bracket with the velcro supplied the sensor. I was able to use the fastener holes on the mounting bracket to attach the sensor to the garage door. As long as the velcro will hold to the plastic mount and the back of my sensor, problem solved. These are better adhesive surfaces than the insulation board so I think it's a winner!I have no doubt this kit would hold the transmitter to the garage door railing after examining the parts and instructions. But it helped me solve a different issue so I can use this system again. That makes me a happy camper!I left the ends on the zip ties so it's easier to see how I used the holes on the mounting bracket to attach the bracket to my door.

This is a simple way to mount the MyQ smart hub, especially if you have more than one garage door to control. The bracket allows the hub to be mounted in the metal bracket which is part of the garage door motor bracket. It seems like a little bit expensive for something that could easily be done with a 3D printer and one of many designs that can be found on the internet.

Pros:- Cord management works well- Easy to install- Gets the myQ hub off my wallCons:- Plastic quality feels very cheapOverall this mount does exactly what it says. Installation feels a little fragile because the build is entirely plastic and feels a little flimsy, but once it's in place it works. Garage door signal still works great with the hub mounted near the opener itself, and it cleans up my garage's appearance by getting the hub/cable off my wall and onto the ceiling.

This is exactly what I was looking for and really made the installation of myQ garage smart hub extremely easy and fast. It holds tight and really is worth the money. No drilling above your head to install anything. Just screw the mounting to the L bracket that holds the garage door opener to the ceiling. The instructions for the myQ device says not to mount it close to metal, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem at all. It works flawlessly and is easy. There are spare parts so you can’t go wrong. It is packaged very well and appears to be from a family run business that really cares about their products and your success. This is a great buy! You won’t be sorry!

The Chamberlain Garage Smart Hub needs mounting and the supplied bracket normally requires screwing and potentially drilling for a secure fix. This product allows you skip the need for any tools. No screwdriver, no drill. This means you can literally mount the hub securely, in a matter of seconds. The bracket is designed with a thumbscrew that can be inserted to any convenient hole in either the door runner or related bracketing that exists in your current install. Fast and simple!
