Burdock Root Capsules

I like burdock root for the internal benefits, especially for my liver. These capsules are easy to swallow and leave no nasty aftertaste. I can only assume they are working, how do you know if something is working internally? I would love to continue them, but they are a little too pricey for my pocketbook. I can buy this product locally at a health food store for about half the price.

Burdock root is a good supplement for maintaining internal health. These capsules are easy to swallow, have no after taste, and are gentle on my stomach. I wish the product information page listed the number of milligrams of burdock root, whether vegan/gluten-free/organic, any testing, and whether non-GMO. There’s really not any product specifics for the buyer. They are a bit pricier than others but have no added ingredients (that info wasn’t evident until I had the bottle to read).

My wife and I love taking burdock for our health, but anyone who has ever processed a fresh burdock root will know that it bites. The root smells funky. It's covered in bristles like nettles. The root is hard to chop and grate. The flavor isn't the greatest...But wait! What's this?! Burdock capsules without the itch?!With two easy capsules a day, my wife and I can get a full dose of burdock without the nose pinching, grating, chopping, itching, and worrying. Each pair of capsules per dose is easy to swallow and comes with none of fresh burdock's bristles or overpowering flavor. Although the smell of the herb is still apparent in the very fresh supplement, it is by no way as overwhelming as fresh burdock! This supplement is a savior for our cutting boards, cheesegraters, and tubes of anti-itch cream, giving us a perfect amount of burdock with one easy dose per day. Best of all, the fresh equivalent of burdock per 2-capsule dose is mightly affordable compared to whole burdock which can run expensive in our area and spoil fast if not processed in time. A real winner right here!

I had to wait to see if this really worked, but it really did.

I thought I would keep my resolutions and start the year off right. I got these burdock root supplements and did all the reading I could. First, I am so glad these are already in a capsule, it seems like fresh samples are a lot of work. These do not smell or have an awkward taste in this packaging.I am excited that keeping my resolutions can be this easy. These capsules are easy to swallow and do not leave a residue on my hands. I have not had these get stuck in my throat or cause any discomfort. These burdock capsules are gluten free, tested, and is clearly labeled. Apparently, they are also a prebiotic and that added yet another benefit. So far, pretty good.

Burdock root, or gobo as we call it in Japan, is a great root vegetable. We cook with it at least once a week and love it. We have absolutely no problem with the taste of it. My wife wanted to try these capsules and see if there was anything to it. Well, indeed, she tolerated the product very well and is using it as a diuretic with great results. Two thumbs up.

This product came in an opaque plastic bottle with internal and external seals. A service size is 2 capsules which equates to 950mg of organic burdock root and nothing else. Please do your own research regarding the benefits of burdock root - it is a helpful plant ally. The capsules have no odor or aftertaste, and I have not experienced any digestive issues in taking them. I cannot attest to the quality of the ingredients because of the nature of herbal supplements and how they work in the body, essentially taking longer than pharmaceuticals to have an effect. When the bottle is finished, or if/when I notice an impact, I will update this review. I would give this a higher rating if the price point were lower, so consider shopping around or getting your burdock as a whole food or in a tea form.
