The Imperial Uncle

Honestly looking forward to reading this book, but there was marking on top of the pages and the spine was slightly torn as well.

I had a lot of fun reading this. The first-person narrator is wildly unreliable and I was laughing out loud as he gradually contradicted himself more and more. These are slightly nerdy comparisons, but he reminds me of Garak in "A Stitch In Time" or Lestat in "The Vampire Lestat" -- utterly charming, incredibly queer, and you (the reader) can't trust him. And maybe he can't even trust himself because he also lies to himself from time to time. There were several twists and turns in the plot -- I thought I'd reached the big reveal twice before the actual one happened. There was one point where I thought things were going to get very depressing but the plot became wacky again fairly quickly. The extras were utterly wild as well. I really recommend this to anyone who like danmei, especially humourous danmei.

This is a great book- ngl I'm at page 63 so far and its honestly great!!! 10/10 and definately reccommend if youre a fan of word of honor (faraway wanderers) ☺️It alsl came damaged (not that much) but its the second time I'm buying a book and it came damaged!! Please handle with care next time!!!

Vilket i det här fallet blev mer och mer frustrerande.För mig verkar det som om författaren antingen har skrivit av historien från en tecknad serie eller har tänkt efter det formatet.För mig var det här helt enkelt fel bok 😔

Genuinely an incredible novel. Political intrigue, love, hidden reveals, random supernatural events in the extras just for fun, this book had it all. Including a protagonist who's viewpoint you weren't quite certain if you could trust, which I personally loved. This is a great book to dedicate an evening to and be faced with heartbreak after heartbreak, then the possibility of a happy ending, only for that cycle to repeat again. Highly recommend and I'll be reading the authors other published works as well! Great job translation team. For those not familiar with ancient Chinese customs, the notes the translation team left are your friend. As is Google!
