Finally something to get my son excited about learning…
My five year old needs some extra help with letter sounds and sight words. Tried other games and activities, but this is the first one he is excited to play and wants to keep playing. I would highly recommend.

Cute game and a great learning tool
This is a great educational game for a nice range of students. I home school and have a kindergarten student and a third grade student. They both enjoy playing this game. I think they most love rolling the big dice, flipping the frogs on to the lily pads, and collecting their cards. In kindergarten they start to learn about CVC (constant/vowel/constant) words and this is a great word building tool for that. It's also good to use after you build the words to practice with letter recognition and letter sounds. As for my third grader this just helps to continue to work on site (high frequency) words and for extra practice spelling but in a fun way. They both have fun playing this game. The game itself is very nice quality. The cardboard pieces are very thick and have a nice slick coating to them. The frogs actually work and hop pretty high. I also like that the box is of nice quality and everything stores in it very nicely.Overall, great game and a great learning tool.

Edu-tainment Game
This is a cute game with a good education value. My kindergartner is working on sounding out words, so the simplest version of this game is perfect for him, and he loves flipping the frogs onto the lilypads. My first grader likes to play the way his brother does, but is also a fan of trying to make his own words and sounding them out to see if they are "real" or not. The frogs are easy to make "jump" and the game itself is straightforward and fun.

Well made educational game!
The quality of this game is really great! Nothing about it is flimsy, so it's perfect for young children. I work with small groups of kindergarteners and ESL students, and plan to use this in the classroom. The box and letter tiles are both very sturdy. I love that the "pond" is printed on the backside of the top of the box. I'm hopeful that aiming for this will help the hopping frogs stay on the table, rather than on the floor. I think the addition of using the dice and frogs will really keep the kids engaged and interested. I also love that there is not a traditional game board, that each student can have their own board, because we often sit at a long table side-by-side and this makes using a four sided game board difficult. I appreciate that there is a plastic baggie to store the letter tiles in. I am really so pleased with this find and can't wait to try it out this year!

The kindergarten children loved jumping the frogs.
The hand2mind Lily Pad Letter Hop is a great first game for children. It has many lessons to learn, first and foremost turn taking and patience while someone else is taking their turn. The box indicates there are 3 levels of play, but with a creative mind, that can be expanded upon. In class we started out simply identifying the letters a frog landed on and the sounds those letters make. As the children's learning commenced so did the game. We are currently using it to build those basic sight words and playing the game more like the creators intended. The children still enjoy it very much. I think this game has a great place in the glassroom and also in the home setting as a great learning tool.

Awesome literacy game for beginning readers
This game was cuter and cleverer than expected. I got this game for my kindergartener, as he's learning how to read and push sounds together. The directions were clear, it was easy to set up, and the whole family enjoyed playing this together. Anything to make reading and learning fun is a total win. Love this game!

great
he Learning Resources Lily Pad Letter Hop game is a great way for kids to learn while having fun! It's perfect for kids aged 5+, and it helps them learn CVC words, sight words, spelling, word making, and fine motor skills. The game is really easy to play. Just launch your frog into the letter pond to collect lily pads and build CVC words. The goal of the game is to build three-letter, CVC words with every turn. The more words you build, the more points you earn! The game is also a great way for kids to develop their fine motor skills. Launching the frog and collecting the lily pads requires hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Plus, the game is really fun, so kids are more likely to stick with it and practice their skills. If you're looking for a fun and educational game for your child, I highly recommend the Learning Resources Lily Pad Letter Hop game. It's a great way for kids to learn essential literacy skills and develop their fine motor skills at the same time.
