Virbac Indorex Defence Spray, 500 ml

If you’re in the unfortunate situation of finding fleas, mites or other parasites, Indorex is a vet-recommended spray as it is not only effective, but almost odourless.What you haven’t seen on Amazon or the product, is how to use it. So let me enlighten you:1. Thoroughly clean your room first, vacuuming carpets, curtains, pillows, rugs (front and reverse), mattresses etc. place fabrics in a hot wash if possible2. Close the door and keep your pet away from the room. Spray a light mist from an upside down bottle: hold for 5 seconds per 1m. Include your mattresses before putting sheets back on, and any cracks or crevices.3. Leave the room and let it ferment4. After 30 minutes, open all windows and air your room.5. For the next 7 days, vacuum your floors and fabrics. The vibrations will cause eggs to hatch, and die.This is a great product that works quickly, but here are a couple of warnings:1. If you or a partner has asthma, stay clear. It is not fully odourless and gets to the back of your throat!2. Fleas don’t magically disappear after spraying; the opposite. They go into hyperactive mode before dying, so you may notice more bites on you than before. This scared the life out of us in the first week!3. Stick with it. Use every 2-3 weeks if you have an infestation, or once every 6 months for dust mites.4. It’s a pain, but keep up with the vacuuming for a week. Empty the vacuum outside each time too.5. One bottle will do a 3 bed house: delivery is within a few days, so might be worth buying 2 or more in one go.After the first week, we found a noticeable difference. After 3 months, we are flea-free.Our first bottle was £30 from the vet: so buy online! We’ve found this safe to use on all fabrics and wooden floors, and the odour dissipates quickly after airing.Going forward, we will use this every few months just to ensure we are free of any unwanted bugs.

I bought this because a neighbours cat sneeked into my home &left unwanted bitting friends I sprayed the carpets, furniture, leather sofa ect perfect result 👌 all fleas dead fast .you will need to venterlate the room 3 hours after as the spray leaves a strong smell

I tried cheaper alternatives that boast the same results, which were actually rubbish. This stood out on Amazon, and a vet confirmed it, recommending it along with another brand which was more expensive and I've since forgotten. The cheap stuff seems to kill the fleas "on the surface" for lack of a better phrase, but doesn't penetrate deep enough into the fabrics since the flea activity has fully resumed by the end of the day.This stuff worked. Two days after the spray, I'm still finding dead fleas. A couple more days, however, and they started to reappear, and in large enough numbers that it wasn't a re-infestation i.e. fresh fleas brought into the house, but the same infestation ongoing. So I sprayed again with the same product. Same results. They start to reappear a few days later, but this time in much, much fewer numbers. The dog is also much clearer and happier.To clarify, this was all done along with fully bathing the dog with vet-approved shampoo and vacuuming the house (and the dog!) with a powerful vacuum cleaner designed for homes with pets, every 1-2 days.So, because I'm so pleased to be finally able to get the situation under control, 4 stars. I can't give it 5 because I had to re-spray once already, despite the product saying it's good for 12 months. That shook my confidence in it and means I may yet expend one more can.

i didn't expect much as i'v tried others but this killed all fleas from a pretty bad infestation quickly and its so easy to use

Bought this product from my vets when I found a single flea on my pup. Did not want to take any chances that he might have had others which I hadn’t found. It is supposed to do all the carpets in a 3 bedroomed house. No way. I had to send for a further tube from Amazon, finding I had nowhere near enough. Just enough to go round the edges of 2 bedrooms and my lounge.The product itself was easy to use, dried fairly quickly and had no adverse smells or effect. Amazon selling at almost half the price sold by my vet. Felt very cheated by my vets.
