The Turkish EmporiumBellyLady Stunning Handmade Chiffon Belly Dance Veil, For Practice-White

My first belly dance veil purchase, but I have borrowed veils from others in my group. The one I received, while beautiful, is definitely too small. The length may be fine, but the width is for sure too short. I'm 5'4" and my fingertips are only about 1" from the edges of the veil when I hold it so that it stretches along my arms. Fine for practice, but I'm going to have to find a standard size veil for performances. Quality seems good and it's very pretty, so it might end up a costume accessory more than a dance veil. From what I understand, the standard size is 106" x 47" (270cm x 120cm), and the measurements here are definitely not it. I hadn't known when I ordered though. But for the price, I'm not going to bother returning.

I must say I was totally impressed by this service. I bought several items, the shawl in black and pink; a gold coin lack hip scarf, a sequened gorgeous red belly dance bra, an orange and gold coin hip scarf and a pink hip scarf. All scarves were different stylesHere is how great they were:- I needed to expedite the delivery to a different address and they obliged;- I wanted to combine my shipping charges as I bought several items - no problem it reduced my shipping by over 60%;- I wanted to add and change items last minute and although they didn't have them in stock, they emailed within an hour to tell me,- I found one item (the black hip scarf and gold coins) $5 cheaper on their website than the Amazon list price and they glafly took that money off the final bill,- I had an issue with my British credit card and they were very patient and shipped the items trustingly before we could find a solution for me to pay tge expedited shipping chargesAnd the best part is:The Quality is PHENOMENAL:The material on the shawl is not quite the satin feel I expected but it is nicely hemmed, large enough to practice with and will do the trick, can't complain for the price. The only negative is that I wanted a yellow one originally, but they did not have it in stock, but I think this had more to do with the fact that I needed to order to be sent straight away. If I had time they may have been able to send it a few days later.The hip scarfs have tons of coins and beads and make very very nice loud sound and have not as yet started falling off. The velvet material the scarfs are made from is super strong and looks like it will last for ever. I am very petite (5 feet 3 inches) and the 31 inch scarfs were more than enough to go all the way around, this was great especially as I read that other customers who wished the scarfs were longer- they were simply perfect for my hips and would be too large for kids.The red sequinned and beaded bra I was nervous about as it looked like it may have been too good to be true, but honestly it is amazing and looks exactly as it is listed and fits me perfectly.I'm very excited to be using all this and will definitely buy again, especially as I could not find better prices or indeed quality than than this seller: Opentip and Belly lady.

The chiffon dance veil that Belly Lady sells is actually quite nice. Yet the same can not be said for many of the other products that the company sells via its Amazon store. So due to this fact I only going to give this product a three out of five stars rating, because other products have showed me that Belly Lady is more than willing sacrifice quality in the name of profits. Likewise I am kind of fearful of how well this item will hold up due to the poor craftsmanship showcased in a few other products I purchased from them.

The color is beautiful. It sparkles, it jingles....what more could I ask for? I highly recommend. I ended up purchasing multiple colors of the top, the hip scarf, wrist cuffs, and veils....each one is bright and colorful. I’m so happy with them all.

Veil was wrong size for my needs. Vendors should list the dimensions of their products.

I wear this as a shawl sometimes and it looks great! so sexy and just different!But as far as belly dancing with it goes it is heavy and hard to do tricks with.You get a work out in when you dance with this veil- which is good or bad depending on the person.The sequences are on good!This smelled funny when I open the bag-but nothing fresh air cant solveI would not buy it again.But I am happy I have it

The picture and description of this veil is misleading. I wished I paid more attention to the description rather than the image.

Okay for class but not overly large.

Love it. It's the perfect length for me.
