What's not to love?!
Let's talk chainsaws! I have a few from a Husqvarna 460 Rancher to a prosaw Husqvarna 572xp! It's a beast! I also have a Dewalt 12in battery saw that I keep in my John Deere Gator. It fits well under the seat. I've had many years of experience with chainsaws. The worst part of them is dealing with that gas engine! Let's face the reality! Sure, chain sharpening is a big pain as well. This Husqvarna 40 volt saw is a game changer! It has plenty of power for the majority of tree work I do on my 10 acres of mostly forest. I've taken 3 trees so far: a maple, weeping willow, and a white pine with zero issues. The battery had plenty of juice to buck and limb them as well. The number one complaint with this saw is the time it takes to charge the battery. I get that. The charger included is slow. However, slow charging is preferred for battery longevity. However, you can purchase a fast charger like the Husqvarna QC330. Yes, I wish it came with the saw, but such is life. While you're at it, pick up a couple more batteries while they're still half off! Number and rotate your batteries! Be sure to pick up a couple of extra chains and get a sharpener. Stay safe!

Excellent Power, Great Tool. Batteries expensive.
I got this chainsaw to clear a rural plot of downed trees. I read reviews and this was the 2nd best one, next to the Stihl…but the Stihl was twice the price. This one was not cheap either! It turns out the cost is mostly the battery. The actual chainsaw is only about 1/4 of the total cost. More on that later…Power:If the chain is sharp, this has great torque to cut through thick logs. I did 2 foot round Douglas Fir logs with it(multiple cuts).Battery life:The test I read said it could do 208 “cookies” that were 6” around. I found I could work with it about 30-45 minutes of actual cutting on larger logs. I needed at least 2 batteries for a full day’s work…or at least until I tired myself out and stopped.Build Quality:It is built well, but I keep it in a case and service it between work-days(4 hours of work). Most of the exterior is plastic, including knobs and oil caps. Vibrations and wood chips drive into the mechanism, and loosen bolts. At the end of a long day I dropped it and it got all jammed up. I was done for the day as it wouldn’t work anymore. Back at my garage, I could take it apart and clean, vacuum out the wood chips, oil and sharpen the chain. It is easy to take apart and service. Once serviced, it was like new again. Rugged little saw, just keep it sharp and clean it down between uses and it will last.Gotchas:The batteries are insanely expensive!!! They are $310 each. The system has 2 types of batteries, which will work, but the smaller ones offer less time between charges. This takes the larger “BLi30”. The Edger takes “BLi22”. Nowhere on the Husqvarna website do they say this. I tried to be clever and buy the Edger for around $280 just for the extra battery (save $40 and get another tool) but the battery was the smaller “BLi22” which gives about 1/3 less battery time. I ended up buying another battery, another “BLi30”($300)…so now I have a total of 3 batteries. I can cut longer than my own stamina now(won’t run out of power), but I spent nearly $600 extra. So, consider that if you need to use this in off-grid or remote area. It might be easier to just use gas, if you’re on a budget. I think 2 batteries is enough, though. It was just a surprising cost that nearly doubles the overall cost. But, I didn’t want to be servicing a small gas engine and dealing with winter-izing it. The electric is nearly service-free and quiet. I have electric drills from 1960 that still work, so that’s nice. Plus it’s really quiet![Edit] I’ve been using this weekly for about 2 months. All the above is still true. But, I have buggered the mechanism that sets chain tension. It’s easy to do. The entire mechanism is held in plastic. The electric motor has enough torque to rip the mechanism apart if the chain gets stuck or pinched. While getting pinched can be reduced by technique(I’ve gotten wiser), it still DOES happen. The screw that sets chain tension is set in a plastic channel with a stop. The torque generated by a pinched chain (pinched in a tree that settled during a cut) is enough to rip out the tension screw and deform the plastic channel. The deformed channel is now more likely to slip the tension screw. I basically have to take it apart about once an hour and fix it, now. The new part is $40 from Husqvarna, but it’s back ordered…so I have to wait 2 months! I’m limping along with this process: 1) Use it for an hour until it pinches or slips a chain.2) Take it apart, clean the chips out, re-set the tension screw back in it’s channel, re-Mount the bar, etc.3) Repeat.I wish Husqvarna made the tension screw inner assembly out of metal! It’s the Achilles Heel of an otherwise great saw.

Electric Chainsaw!
Powerful. Cuts good. Battery life is acceptable. Ergonomics is also acceptable - although balance somewhat awkward. But then it depends on what the user is accustomed to. Also this saw (with battery) is heavier than a gas chainsaw with equivalent power. It is quieter, so you will annoy the neighbors less. Battery is a tight fit, as it should be, but can be difficult to remove with my old arthritic fingers. Fit and finish, build quality, as with most Husqvarna products, is excellent. I also appreciate that it's not a hot, combustible gas burning beast when it's the end of summer and the whole world is a tinderbox! Yes you can still throw a spark, but it just feels much safer ...

Well worth it
It is so nice to just use this chainsaw and not have to start the gas saw and mess with them. Perfect for cutting some firewood after work.

Decent saw, terrible battery
I just purchased the Power Axe 350i chainsaw on Amazon for $479.99, and the saw is fine, but the battery is a disgrace. The fully charged battery did not even last one hour of operating the tool, so I thought I would quickly recharge the battery and finish the job later. I put the battery on the charger at about 2:30 pm, and at 9:00 pm the battery was still charging, so I did not finish the simple job of cutting a few logs that day. The battery came in a dirty, dusty, opened box, but appeared to be unused. The year of manufacturing on the box states 2023, so the battery at the time of purchase in April 2025, could have already been 2 years old. I also bought a Husqvarna battery operated hedge trimmer, and intended to buy more battery Husqvarna tools, such as string trimmer, leave blower and lawn mower, but instead I will just return the unused hedge trimmer and stay away from Husqvarna brand. Since the battery only lasts about an hour, and then it takes more than 6 hours to recharge it, Husqvarna should be unconditionally offering an extra battery with every tool at no extra cost.

Very good light duty chain saw
This is a good homeowner 18” chain saw. Cuts very well and is lightweight. My only negatives are that if trying to cut tree trunks in fire wood length I overheated the battery and it then took a couple hours to cool enough to recharge. If liming trees or cutting 12” trunks that probably wouldn’t be an issue. Has plenty of power for most work. Reviews for other brand chainsaws also mention the battery cool down issue so it is typical of this size battery chain saws. Oil is easy to fill and the sight window is a great feature along with tool less chain adjustment

Husqvarna 350i Power Axe Chain Saw
I couldn't get the chain saw to turn on, so I returned it to the dealer for a refund. I purchased another from a local dealer and it works perfectly. Great chain saw, with plenty of power.
