Pro Plan Weight Management Dry Formulas

My 6 year old spayed indoor cat is quite lazy and refuses to eat anything but dry kibble. She gained a few pounds above her ideal weight, so 2 years ago, her vet switched her from her usual Purina Indoor Cat Chow to Hills Prescription Diet Metabolic Weight Management. She was on this very expensive prescription food for about 18 months. In this period, she gained another lb despite having a strictly metered automatic feeder schedule. I ran into difficulty getting the prescription food this fall, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and switch her food to Purina Pro Plan Weight Management. I read a lot of reviews before I decided to switch & really appreciated all of the insight from others. I was able to slowly make the switch per recommendations on the packaging. In just 3 months, I have noticed a drastic improvement in my cat’s coat condition. She didn’t have her usual silky sheen and seemed to shed a lot more. I thought it was just because she was getting older, but her coat definitely looks and feels so much better now. She seems to be more sated with this kibble, and doesn’t beg for more food like she did on the Hill’s diet. I have also noticed that she does not appear to be quite as heavy and is starting to lean out a bit. She won’t tolerate being weighed at home, so I will have to wait a few months until her next checkup to see how she is doing. Her energy level is good and she seems to be thriving. I wish that I had switched her food sooner! Feed this to both my super lazy cats. They love it and the fatter of the two is back down to a manageable, much healthier size. They’ve both gotten more active and their coats are as soft as ever. You can’t know the effect of a quality food until you’ve seen it in action. I put all my animals on pro-plan and they’re all better for it.

I have two Siberian & Siamese mixed sibling cats. The female is more Siamese like with her body frame and he is more Siberian with his. She stays slim but he has a larger body and he likes to eat, so he’s the reason that I bought this food. I wanted to keep them on Royal Canin indoor dry cat food long term but it is so expensive. I am just not sure I can justify the cost long term even though I know it is the best of the best. They also like Iams Indoor Weight Control but he refuses to eat any of the Iams canned cat foods, which they usually get every morning, maybe a tablespoon each. Because he refused Iams canned food and it’s recommended to feed the same brand, I decided to try ProPlan weight management. We also have a large breed dog who does very well on ProPlan large breed weight management. She lost 5 lbs on one bag, so I decided to try it for the cats. They love the food, their poops are perfect and their fur is so shiny and soft. Reasonably priced, easy to get with subscribe & save so that we never run out. I would definitely recommend this food because Purina is one of the top 5 brands for cats and dogs, ProPlan being their best line. Trust the science!

It's not my favorite smell. Our cats seem to love this food. Our cats look healthy. It doesn't cause diarrhea for our pets.

They love this and I like knowing it may be helpful in reducing their pounchiness. It's a little hard to get though.
