Works great but Total Lack of hookup directions
Worked very well but did not have any diagram telling how to hook it up. There was one "accessory wire" that I was not sure where to hook it up to and had to do quite a bit of searching on the internet before I found a simple wiring diagram (provided by a customer) -- followed that and BINGO--it worked fine. !!!! (Had to be sure where to hook up wires as the device has no internal protection for "wrong connections".

This review is for "DC-DC 84V 72V 60V 48V Step-Down to 12V 20A 240W high-Power Converter Step-Down Device Suitable for Various Battery Packs (36V-96V) of Golf carts and RVs". The manufacturer is YAXIGE but I could find no model # in the listing or on the device itself. It's ASIN B0BWJTP3DL.The YAXIGE DC-DC converter shipped quickly and was packaged reasonably. The "retail" packaging for the YAXIGE is a small cardboard box, and what I found inside is exactly what you in the first photo: the converter with wires to a 6-pin connector, and then a mating 6-ping connector to bare wires. The YAXIGE contained no instructions whatsoever. Actually what I received is more like the fourth photo in the listing, because each of the five wires going into the converter is both color-coded and labeled. If find this a bit odd. Would it not have been more helpful to label the wires on the wiring harness? (or both?)I do wish the YAXIGE DC-DC converter had included more detailed specifications. The Amazon listing states that the YAXIGE is for input voltage 36V-96V and then later it states that the unit has over voltage protection, but the listing does not mention UNDER voltage protection. So is this unit fit for use with a 36V battery? A 36V battery will typically discharge down to 30v or lower before it has been fully discharged, so will the YAXIGE continue to operate when the voltage dips below 36v? I'll find out, because that's one of the two ways I intend to use it. My online UPS uses a 72v battery bank and I have a number of Ryobi "40v" batteries (actually 36v) and I was hoping to use the YAXIGE DC-DC converter to provide a reliable 12v output from either source.Unfortunately, I was unable to test it. I accidentally shorted it out connecting it to the 72v battery bank via a 2.1mmx5.5mm DC Power Connector, and now it's a dead brick. But that's on me, it's not the fault of YAXIGE. If you buy one of these, please be very careful connecting your wiring!

Substandard Construction
Seemed like a nice compact unit but when wiring, the heavy gauge red and black output wires pulled out of the connector. Issue is the connectors were for a smaller gauge wire so only a few of the wires were actually crimped to the connector. Took it apart and re-crimped what I could but lights on cart are not as bright as they should be so not getting enough voltage through the wires. Will be retuning this for a different type unit.
