Neewer Basics SC320 C-Stand Review: Solid Mid-Grade Stand for Lights and Gear
✅ PROS • Clean, protective packaging with minimal waste • Easy to assemble in just a few minutes • Solid stainless steel construction for the price • Smooth knobs and grips that are easy to operate • Foam carry handle makes it comfortable to move around • Spring-cushioned riser adds safety and protects gear from sudden drops • Folds down quickly and stores easily ⸻ ⚠️ CONS • Not the heaviest-duty stand compared to high-end professional C-stands • Best suited for mid-grade production use, not extreme heavy rigging

very good for the money
(for reference, I'm a pro photog) For starters, these are good stands for the money, and include features you usually only see on "better", more expensive stands. The stand itself is quite robust. The legs seem "good enough", but their boom arm is lightweight enough to be bent with rough handling, so I wouldn't affix too heavy of a light/modifier on the end if it will be extended beyond about half way. That may limit some functionality as far as reach is concerned, depending on what you're trying to suspend. I have had no issues, however. I would say this would not be rigid enough to do overhead shots (top down flats) with much camera and lens attached at the end, unless doing some pretty quick exposure times. Ease of setup is fantastic, the stand's base pole is SOLID, and I love the spring and air dampening it has. This offers some protection to your equipment and doesn't allow the top extension of stand to slam down if loosened too quickly. The fact that the turtle legs fold into one another and pack flat with the boom and stand further enhances functionality and portability. This feature seems to be lacking on many cheaper stands (and some more expensive) that I've encountered. At a hundred bucks, NEEWER could've thrown in a three dollar nylon bag or something to store these in. Oh well, that's hardly something I'll cry about. The clamping hardware seems pretty robust and the finish and look and feel is impressive. They look cool, they're massive, and they seem to clamp well. They are easy to loosen and tighten and the rods slide well and offer easy adjustability. I LOVE how big the adjustment knobs are, as they make it very easy to operate the clamps. If placing a heavier lamp or modifier on this stand, I would recommend getting some stand weights. The long leg of the stand does a decent job offering stability, but once the boom arm is extended laterally and weighted, it wouldn't take much to tip. You should be using weighs or sand/water bags anyway (always). Value for money, I'd say is fantastic. At under a hundred dollars it's already a good buy, if you ever see it on sale at 85, grab a few.

Pro level c stand with fast shipping
It's a c stand at a competitive price. This is professional level light stand with prime shipping. The price is competitive too. Seems like the best deal for one of these on Amazon. C stand works as you would expect, it's heavy and arm extends out far for differing lighting positions. Sturdy and will last a long time.

Great C-stand, I need more of them!
Incredibly well built c-stand - but heavy. Allows me to really switch things up on shoots. If I ever folded it up it seems easy to store. It’s giant - can hold pretty much anything. I have a couple holding up several NEEWER cb200/300s. Dead simple to deploy and use.

'Gotta be the best deal out there.
'Gotta be the best deal out there. Excellent sturdy stand and well designed. Bought one 10 years ago and still love. This one was the exact same build and I would recommend this item to anyone needing a great stand at a great price. 100% happy with this item.

A 'one and done' product. Excellent.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Rock solid. Great product. I'm using it to mount a camera above a table for top down photography/video. The stand and arm are study, not prone to vibration and easy to adjust in all directions. I'm very happy with this product. It's one of those purchases where it more than exceeds what I expected after several false starts (desk mounts, flimsy tripods). I'm sure it will last a very long time. Functionality: Everything performs exactly as you would expect. When the clamps are tightened things stay in place. When they are loosened things are easy to move and adjust. Size: Can be made to be very tall. Not what I need, but I imagine if you had a large light with soft box this would easily position them at every height. Ease of setup: Unfold, extend, adjust angle. Done. Couldn't be simpler.

Sturdy, Professional‑Grade C‑Stand — Great Build and Versatile
The NEEWER Basics Heavy Duty C‑Stand has been a reliable piece of gear in my setup — whether I’m shooting video, portraits, or lighting stills. Right out of the box it feels solid and well‑constructed thanks to the 100% stainless steel build. It’s clearly made to last, and I haven’t had any wobble issues even with heavier lights or reflectors mounted. The reach is impressive: with the boom arm extended you can get up to around 10.5 ft / 320 cm, which gives you lots of flexibility for overhead lighting or creative setups. The boom arm locks in securely and doesn’t sag under reasonable loads, which is exactly what you want during a shoot.

The SC320 Lite is a solid and versatile light stand
Regarding the SC320 Lite: This is a very nice stand. Solid and seems quite durable; definitely versatile. BTW, the extension cross-bar diameter is 5/8" (16mm). This info was missing on the SC320 Lite images.

This set up is great for smaller lights/cameras. It is fairly light so travels easily, but I l did find on full extension, the boom arm had a fair amount of bend/wobble. This was with a Godox MS300 (about 1.3kg). The height and extension is great though, really useful to keep it out of camera shot and so far, it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it.
