These work perfect for cut to fit filters I made my own filter after 4 years a failed filter designs, The one I made is half barrel bottom 18 inch these filter pads can be trimmed perfectly to that size. With these filter pads I only have to change my pads once or twice a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. Love them. They seem to be holding up quite well.

I use this in my estimated 285 gallon garden pond. So I only need about 3 in by 3 in squares to cover my submersible pump (24 watt 800 gph) intake valve. The pump will run non stop for about 3 days before I notice a performance drop in the aeration fountain thrusting up from the pond. I don't use an outlet extender for the output valve tubing. So instead it thrusts up from 16 inches of water and typically caps off about 6 inches above the surface. It's 800 gph strong and the point of this review I'm totality is that these are durable, a good value, and well made.

I originally purchased the ALEGI Aquarium Sponge Filter Pad for a very unconventional reason - and I’m so glad I did. I tried to reorder replacement filters for my pet water fountain only to find out the fountain had been discontinued and the brand no longer carried the filters (so frustrating). Customer service suggested I try an aquarium sponge filter pad and cut it to size, saying it would work just as well and be far more affordable. They were absolutely right!! This sponge pad is fantastic quality - dense, durable, and super easy to cut to fit any filter compartment. I was able to customize it perfectly for my pet fountain, and the water is flowing clean and clear just like it did with the original filters. Bonus: I realized I can use this one pad for multiple filter replacements, which is a HUGE COST SAVINGS compared to buying brand-specific cartridges over and over. Very happy with this purchase

I purchased this sponge, along with ceramic to filter my saltwater tank and it's great. I soaked it in room temperature distilled water and it expanded instantly. Works great for my HOB filters for my 10 gal and 35 gallon tanks. 👌

Functions as it should. You get very little for the price. Way too much money for this product. Easy to work with and cut to size. Should have got double the amount for the price.

Perfect for my 10gallon tank . Easy to cut down to what I needed. I put rocks in that got it all first so had to pull it out to clean it off and it washed out with no problems. Very happy with this product. I used this for my paludarium for the bottom of the tank on the land side.

Makes the absolute BEST pre filter for the back of your box fan! Perfect size and ppi for air flow while keeping out cat hair from clogging up the works!

I see a lot of negative reviews in regard to product not being the correct thickness. Maybe you didn't receive the card explaining what to do, I don't know. All I did was fill up the sink with hot water and soaked it for 30 secs, rung it out, put it in the dryer. It came out perfect as you can see in my video. No issues and it's exactly as described. Perfect for my aquarium filter.

I am using this sponge filter pad to help keep my garden fountain debris free. It is excellent for filtering out larger debris that gets deposited in the fountain by birds and the wind. I simply cut the size of sponge that I needed and wrapped it around my fountain pump, securing it with a large rubber band. I have layered it over another cloth liner that filters out smaller debris, like algae, and between the two layers my fountain is nice and clear. Once a month a take the filter sponge out, replace it with another than I have cut from the larger sponge, clean it and lay it in the sun to dry out thoroughly thereby ensuring that no organic matter is growing in it so I can reuse it in the future. I highly recommend this product.

Cit this to fit some vents in our skidoo. Note it will come vacuum sealed. But they provide instructions on how to expand it.
