I really like the way James Hunter writes. It’s easy to understand but not boring. VGO: Jade Lord didn’t disappoint. Great quest to begin with, one I’d be excited to play, and a surprise twist at the end for finding a different way to finish it! Can’t wait to see how Jack and company deal with a full on war against Osmark!

This is the third volume of this arc. Our heroes have a tremendous quest to complete and unfortunately not all the consequences are good.Our MC continues to accumulate items, allies, power, and enemies. And time is running out.And are not yet

James Hunter has once again written an absolutely fantastic addition to the VGO universe!Just like when I was reading the previous book, I was on the edge of my seat during Jack's various adventures sprinkled with bursts of laughter along the way thanks to Cutter and Amara's antics. In addition to all of the qualities that I've come to enjoy about this series, I also really enjoyed getting to "see" more of the world that Jack is now inhabiting along with the strong bonds that he's developing with other characters along the way.I can't wait to continue reading the story once the next book arrives!

When I recommend books to friends in the LITRPG genre this is the type of series I have them put at the top of their lists. I probably enjoyed this book more than the previous two but that is just me saying that this is my favorite of three equally solid books. I'm a nerd for character builds and stats but done in a way that we aren't getting stat dumped every two seconds. The main plot moves right along and before you know it you've just read this book in one sitting.

This was a wonderful follow up t9 the second book and the ending was great! I really enjoyed it and hope that everyone has a chance to read the first 2 and then this one!

So after reading the last two in short order, I had some expectations going into this book. Sadly, it seems we are straying away from the game aspect (classes/stats/gear) in favor of maybe too much lore and questing. There is also a lot of pressure throughout the book due to the overwhelming might of the opposition breathing down their neck, not to mention the deadline from his latest quest. Its this "rushed" feeling I think that threw me off. Our MC has yet to have a chance to really play the game, instead he has just been leaping from one fire to the next never really in charge of his fate, pawn to both Emperors and Goddesses so its little surprise he hasn't really gotten to go questing, looting, and leveling.Decent plot and the secrets are slowly showing themselves, but otherwise I felt like this book was more of a wind up for the climatic clashes that are ahead so I have to give it a 3 not out of respect for anything wrong but rather it just didn't surpass it''s predecessors and just maintained that hectic dash to the inevitable.

Finally things are heating up AND making more sense. If yoi got this far, things started to heat up and I know I enjoyed it.

I am now hooked on this series. It has great characters, plenty of action and cunning plans that don't rely on brute force.

I feel like i have been hang dry... but that is not the case i know its part of a bigger story but still i would have loved more. Anyway i just finished the book and once again i cant wait for the next one. Loved it and i WILL buy the next book. You are doing an outstanding job Mr. Hunter.

I really like the main plot that is unfolded very early in the first book and keeps on developing. I would wish for less repetitive expressions and a more elaborated style of writing. Non the less, I am eager to buy the next installment of the series, with a loopsided grin to find out about jack and his alliance to live on. I simply like the story. Mister Hunter keep up the good work. It entertains me very well and inspires me to keep faith in my own writing. Good job, sir!

Good read. In this one we get a new and unique kind of quest. One that adds penalties for each day it's not accomplished. The mc also has to decide how he will run his faction. The path of mercy or raw power. Each has advantages and weaknesses. Some new abilities and good combat sequences. Recommend without reservation.

Jacks character just develops so well and this is my favourite straight LitRPG series with a great audio to go along with it. The story and supporting characters such as Abbey work well as does the various obstacles and level increases. And who wouldn't like to fly lol
