Makes music "feel" more alive
First off, if you are wondering if this turntable is worth the price, it is in spades, take it from a cheap bastard.Get yourself a rubber plate mat and weight as the stability you will get is worth its' weight in GOLD. The AT cartridge and needle are fantastic for the casual listener. I felt that getting the proper balance on the tone arm was a bit laborious but once dialed in the sound was perfect through my Kenwood KA-7001. Anything with a proper master had luscious guitars, soaring solos, tight and punchy low end on the bass and kick and piano sounds absolutely magical. Keep in mind I am using the onboard preamp and not a seperate piece of kit. With a good tube pre? Well that just might be good enough to make me faint. Rather than fighting with a vintage, locally sourced turntable of questionable operability, just take a chance and let TEAC surprise you.Let the "Audiophiles" spend 3k on a turntable comprised almost entirely of snake oil and you can fill your living space with magic for less than $300

Bang for the buck
This is my second Teac turntable as I also have a BT-280 in the family room. I just remodeled a bonus room in the basement and wanted to add a TT down there. I originally purchased a Music Hall USB-1 because of their upper TTs’ reputation but it was well beneath my expectations. I had all kinds of issues with low end rumble and traced it to the cheap tonearm. I never considered this TT because they usually run about $110 more. When I came across this unit for $229 I jumped on it. The signal to noise ratio on the Teac is 17 decibels higher than the Music Hall and it is very noticeable. I did upgrade the cartridge to The Vessel (which is one of the best deals out there), the felt mat to a rubber/cork combination mat and used better audio cables than were supplied. All three of the upgrades cost me about $140 extra but it is worth it in my opinion (Note - originally used all three upgrades on the Music Hall as well). I love the S shaped tonearm. A nice upgrade over my other Teac. Set up was easy. Power Switch, USB outlet, AC outlet and EQ override are all located on the back and would only be a hindrance if you have trouble accessing the back of the TT once it is in its spot in your entertainment setup. Overall great value in my opinion.

Sound great.
I am not expert, however I could say: 1) It is has a sound great, 2) Perfect balance between design, elegant and quality. 3) Assemble the turntable was easy for me, just be careful and take your time. 4) Stanby/on button is behind of the unit, usb, Phone/Thru EQ and rca connector either.I only regret that it does not turn off only when the disc is finished.

Severe static hum!
I w but was so looking forward to listening to some real analogue music through my reconditioned Pioneer receiver but was vey disappointed with my new TEAC 350 turntable. It has a continuous hum through my speaker system especially when the cutoff or bass level was turned up at all on the sub. The only way to subdue it was to take the subwoofer out of service as there was no grounding lug on the turn table itself. This of course cancelled all low end frequencies and made the music AM radio quality. Very disappointed in this turntable and have found out after the fact that others have had the same issues at varying degrees. I would/could never recommend a TEAC turntable.

Performs as hoped
This is a mid level turntable that works well. Have used it only with traditional turntable line level output. Would have liked to have a strobe with ability to fine tune speed but as far as I can tell the rpms are just fine.Satisfied with purchase.

Can't go wrong
This deck is really amazing, great build quality, no frills TT. I plan to upgrade the cartridge soon, but sounds really good as is, to bring me back into the vinyl game.
