This camera works exactly as expected and has been a great addition to my home security. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the wireless feature makes placement very convenient. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night, and motion alerts are reliable without being overwhelming. Battery life has been solid so far, and the app is easy to navigate. Overall, this is a dependable, high-quality outdoor camera that gives peace of mind. Highly recommend.

I am now using these outdoor wireless battery-operated cameras in addition to several Blink wired cameras and large floodlight cameras. Easy set up. Work flawlessly, as do all of our other Blink cameras. Highly recommended. Only downside - and specific to these wireless cameras - are the bases are EXTREMELY hard to fasten to the cameras. Nearly impossible. Take a lot of force. On one of them it absolutely would not push onto base after I screwed base to wall. So I had to remove base from wall, push base on camera by putting base on floor and pushing camera down as hard as I could, then pointing camera awkwardly from one side to other to re-screw into wall. For another one I bought an aftermarket housing for camera and I'll try that to see if it's easier. It's a slight Blink design flaw they should correct.

Love these cameras! We tried several security cameras and these are by far our favorite! We do have the cloud subscription but compared to the price of others we find it very reasonable. We pay ours a year at a time, it saves you about 20 doing it that way. If you can’t pay a year in advance it’s only 10 a month. To us, we believe that is a fair price like I said compared to the others and you don’t have to mess with SD card. We purchased I believe the plus bonus plan so we can add more cameras in the future without paying extra for cloud storage. We have the box for the cameras plugged into our kitchen and our camera outside on our detached garage on the furthest side away from our home reaches no problem and we do not have a WiFi extender. Super easy to hang up and to set of on the app. The batteries say two year life but honestly it just depends on how much activity the camera gets, my advice is to get rechargeable batteries or pay the extra buck for good batteries. The battery life is still great no complaints and we live in town on a corner lot so we get a lot of motion detections. Which you can also control the motion detections in the app. The picture at night is freaking awesome as well. I like how you can talk through the camera as well. My only complaint which is honestly probably due to our internet is that there is about a 2-3 second lag when a motion is detected. For example, my wife got home and locked her car so I heard the honk and I got on the cameras to talk to her and by the time it loaded I saw her walking in the front yard she was already opening the door, so like I said about a 2-3 sec lag. And if you have it set to record for 30 secs or however long, there is a few seconds in between recordings if there is still motion detected. So if your outside talking to someone and it continues to record when it hits the record time and restarts you loose a few seconds in between. (You can also change how long it records when a motion is detected.) Bottom line super happy with the purchase!

’ve been using the Blink Outdoor 4 for a few months now, and overall, it’s a solid, budget-friendly security camera with great features. The setup was quick and easy, and I really appreciate the long battery life and clear 1080p video quality. The night vision works well, and the app interface is intuitive. However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 due to inconsistent motion detection. It either picks up everything—like dust particles floating by or a leaf moving in the wind—or it misses entire events. I’ve adjusted the sensitivity settings multiple times, but it still doesn’t reliably detect the feral cats I care for in a shelter I built. It’s frustrating because I bought the camera specifically to monitor their activity. I know this camera isn’t designed for animal detection, but I expected better performance given its motion detection capabilities. If Blink improves the motion sensor accuracy or adds more customizable detection zones, this would easily be a 5-star product. Still, for the price and ease of use, it’s a good option for general home security—just not perfect for more nuanced monitoring needs.
