It works well. slightly larger than the other one we had but slightly more flimsy. My mom's cats are on steroids and if they wanted, it would not prevent hate and destruction from entering or exiting. But it is also for the garage door which we usually leave unlock. the hairs surrounding the rim to prevent air flow needed regluing but not a big deal.

I read many negative reviews that had been posted about this particular item. I looked at a lot of much more expensive options BUT I really only needed a simple cat door. I ordered this one and found it to be exactly what I needed to install in the lower aluminum panel of the exit screen door on our rear screened in porch. P U R R R F E C T!

I built my own window unit using this door, and it works perfectly! I will say the only downside is that the locking slides sometimes Close during my cat going in and out and he can’t get back in, so I have to remove them when I’m not home.

I bought two of these so I would have a front entrance and back entrance. One to be used as an escape door if needed. I did have some issues like other reviewers in the door not shutting the whole way, I just trimmed up and removed a bit of the caulking so to speak on the swing part of the door. That seemed to take care of the problem. All in all, it was a good purchase if you are willing to modify it a bit, I would buy it again.

Relatively easy installation. Requires a few simple tools. Instructions are adequate and accurate.Good door for the money. This was a replacement for a previous one that lasted 20+ years.Definitely worth the money.

I found this fairly easy to install, but I bought this one to replace one I installed just over a year ago. It looks nice the dogs use it easily, but the plastic tabs that hinge the door broke off...no way to repair it except replace. The lock feature was difficult to move when new, and became unusable in just a couple of months.

This is the second time I have ordered this particular cat door...perfect size, made well and delivery on time...perfect

I ordered three of these doors and sent all three of them back. The cat doors do not lock closed when they’re in the door of the house. The levers to lock the cat door are too small to secure the door and do not slide easily from inside the house.. Before the cat door was installed the levers would slide with a bit of grease, but not easily and not completely. If I pushed on the door it would skew and become misaligned. After installation it was impossible to slide the levers, especially the green one, on all three cat doors. There was more of the lever exposed on the outside of the door which made the cat door useless from inside the house. Now we have a hole where there used to be a cat door. Have to find a stronger door the same size or start over. Do not recommend.
