When the lights go out 💡🌍🌪️Go Tornado !
Philips low energy bulbs are an essential switch to help counter the effects of the emerging energy crisis and global warming and reduce our reliance on filthy fossil fuels. These tornado bulbs are well made, give brilliant warm illumination and offer great value for money and help lower household power consumption compared to older filament bulbs. Philips are a brand you can trust and fabulous lightening delivery from Amazon.

Very quick to full brightness. Lasted 3.5 years.
I have got a lot of bayonet fitting Tornado bulbs around my house. I prefer the 23w to the 20w - they are a touch brighter, more genuinely equivalent to the old 100w bulbs. Most are in hallways, bedrooms etc. When they are switched on, they generally get left on for quite a long time. This is (I believe) the best use for CFL technology. They are all still going strong after about 4 years (?)I also bought one for the bathroom (E27 fitting). This tends to get switched on and off for short periods. I believe this is NOT ideal for CFL and LED is better. But at the time LED was still much more expensive (about £20 vs £5). This one has lasted 3.5 years - which seems very respectable compared to halogen. But much less than the 10 years they promise. The Tornados only take about 1-2 seconds to get to full brightness. This is amazing compared to older CFL. I assumed they were all this good nowadays - so bought a replacement from Wilko own brand. It takes about 30+ seconds to warm up - dreadful compared to the Tornado. Makes me appreciate the Phillips brand.I would have bought the same again. But it is about £5 - plus £12 delivery!!!!! No way. Also LED have become much more competitive in price (And have genuine instant startup. AND are resilient to frequently switching on/off)So - if you are sure you want CFL, I would definitely recommend Phillips Tornado. But maybe worth looking at LED these days.

Excellent
Advantage of buying Philips low energy bulbs is that when they invariably stop working, Philips will replace them for you. So even though you pay a premium, not only do you get a higher quality product, but you have peace of mind that if through normal use the bulb stops working before it should, Philips customer service will help you. With regards to the bulb itself, very nice warm light, and nice and bright. Comes to full brightness very quickly.

Warm white, very economical
The last one I bought was 7 years ago from Amazon, so I thought I'd better buy another soon because this Philips Tornado could stop anytime soon.Considering the light it gives out compared to the light-bulb's very low power consumption, it is remarkably good value. And that is my reason for buying - and recommending it to you!

Just the job
Struggled to find an equivalent bulb for some outside lamps - many were too long to fit into the lamp. These are the just the job.

[++] Bright, Compact, Quick, Good Price [--] Quite Wide
Very bright indeed and for the energy it produces it is actually a very compact bulb (height much lower than equivalent products but slightly wider). The warm up time to achieve a decent amount of brightness is quite good compared to other similar bulbs I have tried. Overall, for the price it is a good purchase (assuming it lasts a few years!)

bon produit

Philips - Lampada Tornado Spiral E27 ES 23W

Gutes Licht, helles Licht
