Q: how does it stay on while driving?

It has a grip back that doesn't move a millimeter when driving, taking corners, heavy braking, etc

Q: Does it retain as much heat as the dash itself? Noticeably cooler?

I'd like to say it "repels" the heat. My car is much cooler, I can touch it without burning my hand, it is a very thick fabric that just flops on top and the Tesla logo is engraved into it. Before I had this I was scared my dash would crack from the heat.

Q: Where is the cut for heads up display?

My 2020 RAM 2500 Laramie does not have a heads up display, so there is no cut out for it needed.
