Confusion reigns
The item is not as described. It doesn’t fit the 14.42 lens as above. Talked to a main dealer who says there is no lens hood for this particular camera/lens. However I have kept the item as I have a separate zoom type lens onto which it does fit. Be aware that there seems to be a great deal of confusion with this particular lens.

I bought this to replace the one that came with my zoom (which fell off on a walk and was lost), this is MUCH better, it fixes on much more tightly and so I no-longer have to worry about it just falling off.
