I ordered plugged it in no power ! waited 4 days to get then amazon said another week

This microwave is different from any I have ever had - plug it in and nothing happens! Per the instructions the light which Norma one on when you open the door does not until you turn it on by rotating the timer knob clockwise. Hope this was your experience and not defective.

UL, NSF, DHHS, FCC compliant but I don't see mention of ANSI in owner's manual.

What is the difference to model sharp r-21lcf?

All below answers are partial. The LCF hasn't been manufactured since 2017. It was replaced with the LCFS. All listings claiming to sell the gray exterior will actually deliver the stainless steel. So, the wrap is different and the warranty is different. The gray exterior had a 1 year parts and labor warranty with a 3 year mag warranty. The new model LCFS still has the 3 year mag warranty, but has a 1 year replacement warranty instead.

Can this microwave do "air popped" popcorn (e.g. in a silicone bowl)?

I only use the bagged popcorn and have never tried air popping. There is no turntable but I have never had an issue with uneven cooking. Sorry, not much help here.
