My old recliner handle finally gave up after years of use, and finding a replacement that actually fits the star hole system was trickier than I thought it would be. This one was a perfect match for my leather Lazy Boy. The 11" length feels just right - not too long where it gets in the way, but long enough to get good leverage when you're pulling it. The finish looks clean and matches well with the existing hardware on my chair. What really made this purchase worth it was including the allen wrench and set screws. I was dreading having to dig through my toolbox looking for the right size wrench, but everything I needed was right in the package. Installation took maybe 10 minutes total, and most of that was just figuring out how to position it properly. The mechanism feels solid and smooth when you pull it - no grinding or sticking like my old worn-out handle was doing. My chair reclines like it's brand new again. This turned out to be a nice surprise and a simple solution. I somehow managed to break my original Lazy Boy footrest handle after 20 years of ownership. One evening, I used it to bring up the footrest and it broke off in my hand. Oh Bother. A quick check Amazon located this product. It had everything I needed to replace the old handle. As my chair is 20+ years old, I chose the "star" model which allows for a very good fit, and you can adjust the starting point of the handle where you want it. Installation took all of 90 seconds. The handle is a bit longer than the original it replaces, and it feels quite sturdy. Operation is smoother than the original - I guess because of the extra leverage caused by the longer size. As you might see from the supplied photo, the lever looks really good on the chair. All in all, I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
