Good-quality product. Very positively impressed so far.
So far I am quite pleased with this chuck for my application. I've adapted it for use as a stationary (vs. rotating) round-stock holder for drilling and cutting operations in my drill press and radial-arm saw (with which I can even LIGHTLY cut metals with the right blades). Action is crisp and tight, suggesting close manufacturing tolerances. Seems obviously to be a high quality product,

Nice Affordable part minus possible defective threads
Received the chuck and later I tried to mount it. The backplate has 3 screws holding the rear plastic chipguard and one stuck out(frozen=no move), Chuck would not set flat against spindle flange. after cutting area of plastic surrounding screw I removed the stub-didn't appear the hole had threads so screw was jammed in. Called VEVOR, nice people but "much talk about nothing" I would have repaired the chuck if they could have supplied the .25 plastic piece, nice people but stalling 2 day replies- Spoke to Amazon who professionally solved my problem and advised return item. Overall the Chuck is good appearing item minus the defect = UPDATE -Vevor delivered replace chuck a couple of days ago-neighbor picked it up to prevent theft and finally told me-lol,, I move VEVOR cust. service to 5 stars(5)

Little crunchy but works well
It's obviously a cheaper rougher chuck, but it's perfect for my little hobby lathe at home. The scroll isn't smooth but it seems to clamp well and pretty repeatedly. Still pretty new so I don't know about longevity.

included with my chuck. install this 5” self centering clock on my lathe if it is not threaded???
No good The self centering chuck from Vevor is not threaded on the 5” chucks and nô threaded mounting back plate came with my Vevor chuck. This item is useless if you can not mount it to your threaded lathe shaft

Quality as expected for the price.
The jaws move roughly but for my hobby lathe, (old Southbend 9 C) works well. This is not a high precision tool, but expected for the low price. Used primarily to repair or replace parts to patch old machinery. Note, the purchase of a backplate and the machining to mate it to your lathe will be needed.

Wrong fit.
Had to send it back bc it was a hair off on the measurements. Wouldn't slide into my lathe like it suppose to.
