For piece of mind, peel the tape already on the grill and replace with; 3M Exterior Attachment Tape, product #38582. The grill fits perfectly into place and gives the front of the CX50 a finished and polished look. Matches the existing grill. Easily installed after cleaning area with TSP and the use of the alcohol wipe, included. Personal opinion, Mazda should have these installed at the manufacturing level.

great item to round out the look of your cx-50! seems high quality and sturdy so hopefully this holds up over time. the grills didn’t fit as snugly for me as it did for other reviewers when i did the fit test placement so i opted for second line security with zip ties. for a more seamless look i attached it high up and needed tweezers to pull the end back through to secure. can’t see the zip tie unless you really crouch down and look for it.

These fit in perfectly. Very easy to do and the tape held well. I'm a 62 yr old woman and I did this myself. I'd say these 2 little grill covers add a very nice Finishing Touch to the front of the car. They also match perfectly with the high gloss black finish of the large grill. I highly recommend!

First off these inserts look good, surprisingly good! Simple one piece plastic that match the grill patern perfectly. So full marks for looks and compatibility. The only issues I had were that that the included alcohol pads (only 2 😬) are laughably insufficient. You will want to purchase more or get a bottle and use a clean rag as I did. The second issue is the tape included is TERRIBLE! Be sure to purchase 3M double sided tape in advance. When you have alcohol (bottle or pads) and your 3M tape, sand to rough up the insert, wipe to remove dust and rub with the alcohol. Then apply the tape and apply light heat from a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the tape. Wipe the area on your vehicle that the inserts are going with a wet rag. Let dry and the wipe with alcohol. At this point I warmed the area on CX50 with the heat gun and inserted the inserts. FYI: No instructions come with this item.

Solid plastic, looks like original part. Fits as it should. Had to cut a hole for block heater plug. Cuts good with the dremel.
