Great motion detection, but
was looking for a "stop" to correctly locate my vehicles inside my garage. I had tried "wheel stops", but ended up tripping over them. I found this Laser Park on Amazon and was impressed with the comments. It came very quickly and here are some of my thoughts.Due to some of the Amazon comments that "one of the lasers didn't last long or was very weak", I tested it in my kitchen for several hours to insure it was working as promised. After reading the instructions, I then mounted in the the ceiling about half way between the driver seats. I picked a location that was about 90 degrees to the windshield, hoping to reduce reflection. I saw that the instructions said not to use the double sided tape on ceiling mounts, but I wanted to test the location before permanently attaching it with screws.I like that the base can go up first, and then you mount the laser. It was easy to install and I had plenty of power cord to reach the nearest receptacle. I then parked both vehicles in their spaces to adjust the lasers. As I attempted to rotate each laser dot to land on the dashboards near the steering wheel. But as I moved the lasers to their extreme, the ball would pop out of its socket. With some effort, I was able to re-insert the lasers, but found that I did not have as much angular travel as I needed. I studied the angle and saw if I could move the laser base back, It would increase the distance where the laser intersected the hood/dashboard.Here is where I discovered my error of using the tape. I lost some paint trying to get the base off. That was my mistake and I will repair that soon. Now that the laser was in the second location, I again tried to gently adjust the location of the laser dot on each car. As before, any adjustment to the extreme, not matter how gently, causes the ball to come out of the socket. With the laser at the best angle I could get it, the "dot" would not extend into the dashboard. I had to settle for it landing somewhere on car hood. I now have to remember that location of each vehicle when parking.I can try moving the base a third time, but as you can see in the pictures, the power cord is at its max. That would mean an extension cord running across the ceiling and I'm not excited about that.I did email MACSA with this problem and they got back to me very quickly. They stated that they knew about the problem and was working on it. They offered to sell me a second one (at a discount) and it came in white. It’s still working as promised, but I have to be satisfied with the dots landing on my car hoods.

Works great.
Have used a double light one for years. Purchased this single light one for small garage. Helps put your vehicle right where it needs to be.

this is how our future selves will park our flying cars
This is a great product that solves an annoying problem in a clever way. For years I have been consistently coming inches away from slamming the front of my Grand Prix into the concrete steps at the front of my garage. I am not about to suspend sports equipment from my ceiling, and the blinking stop sign I got from a garage sale eventually broke from all of the times I knocked it over. The appeal of this laser guide was that it seemed more accurate and less obtrusive than other gadgets (a pretend traffic light on the wall is almost as bad as hanging sports equipment).Well, it is accurate, and it's not obtrusive. I have the two-laser white model with a bonus LED light. I followed the advice of another reviewer and installed a combo power socket/bulb fixture in my door opener. That way the laser guide only comes on when the door has recently been opened or closed. (If you do this, you'll probably want to use a 100W CFL bulb, as it might cause the bulb to press against a plastic surface and man do those 100W bulbs get hot! Even the LED ones do) I have a white extension cord and the laser unit's white power cord secured to the ceiling, and the laser unit itself sits above a walkway. (Remember to install it where you can reach it with cars in the garage) Everything blends in with the white ceiling nicely.I had a concern that the laser beam would be difficult to see when actually trying to park. No problem there. What is difficult is the adjustment. I have a very small garage with about a foot of wiggle room before I'm either covering the walkway or hitting the car with the garage door. Side-to-side, it's about the same or less if I want to be able to open the doors on both sides. So I was trying to hit an area on both cars that is about a square inch in size in order to really get that accurate parking location. It was pretty difficult to do that. The lasers use a ball and socket type connection, but in order to move the dot an inch you have to nudge it about five and hope it comes back to the place you want. So if you want to be more accurate than about 3 inches, be prepared to finagle. That ended up being my biggest issue. I will say that the single-beam version, which doesn't seem to have any side-to-side adjustment, looks like it would be a pain. The reference point on your car may not happen to line up with the vertical line the beam can reach. So I'd get the double beam even if I had just one car.My other complaint is with the LED light. There's hardly any difference in price, so I thought I'd go ahead and get it. Well, imagine one of those really cheap LED flashlights (a dim one) stuck to your ceiling. The bluish light looks really cheap when you have actual light bulbs on at the same time, and since it kinda has to be located at the front of your garage, chances are it's not going to be illuminating some dark corner of the garage. Plus it's weird that they give you double-sided tape, which can't be used in a ceiling mount, and meanwhile this LED light can't be turned off which would make it really obnoxious for a wall mount. I guess the fact that it's a motion-activated light might make it useful for someone, but not for me since it's only on when the opener light is already on in the first place.I haven't had the issues other people describe in regard to the quick shut-off times. In fact I felt like it was impossible to see it turned off because the motion sensor picked up my movement. I have no idea how you could be moving a car under this without triggering the motion sensor. But if you look you will see that some of those reviews are quite old. For me the minor problems don't get in the way of a full recommendation. Chris gives the MAXSA Dual Laser Park Right in White 4 stars.

I pleased. Works well
I have used this products for a number of years. It always works as it should. No issues. Routing power to it is a bit of an issue. Not big, just hanging wires. that you must dress.

Having your vehicles parked the same each time.
Once mounted on the ceiling and aiming the lasers onto the vehicle dash, the vehicles can then be parkrd in the same location each time. Just drive in and let the red dot guide you to the same spot each time.Great Idea, just becareful to not look or let the laser shine directly into your eyes

Merveilleux

First impressions, a real review, works really well
I have a two-car garage with double doors. I was able to mount this unit easily. It seems to work just fine. Very happy so far, so we'll see how this holds up over time. I like the idea that there's a mounting plate (see comment below on using a #6 drywall screw-anchor).I just wanted to react to a bunch of comments. Related to positioning, a few of the reviews indicated that the laser is a bit stiff to move. This is true, although it was okay for me, and I love the idea that it will stay exactly where I point it. You don't want this moving around, so stiff is just perfect. I did not find that the rotational range was an issue at all. You need to mount it somewhere between the hood and windshield of your cars; if you do this, the range of positioning is just fine. Relating to size, it's just the right size. There are a bunch of reviews that seem to suggest there is no AC adapter. Odd, this whole thing comes in a plastic, fitted package. It contains an AC adapter, and the dual pointer has a 9 ft cable length. Some reviewers seem to suggest it dies when on battery. Yeah, uh, because it needs to be connected to an AC adapter for regular use. Super weird. And, somebody complained about the screws. Seriously? One consideration here is that the mounting plate has a recessed portion for the screw head, but it's shallow. But, pro tip: Use a proper drywall screw anchor #6, and the provided screws work well.

Laser park assist
good product. easy (ish) to installthe only minor issue was that I set it up to be on the centre line of the garage/car, mounted to ceiling etc... when I plugged it in and switched on the laser beam was not that precise... beam mounting within the unit body is several degrees off perpendicular... so by the time it hits the car the laser beam is some 18" off centre... impossible to re-align pointer itself... you would have to remount it allowing for fact beam does not point perpendicular to mount plate... (additional holes in ceiling, tough to gauge how much to rotate it etc.. etc...)... so now beam hits car in a not so visible location... works exceptionally well once you workout where its going to hit and get used to parking at the right spot.would suggest test mounting with sticky tape or something before you drill your ceiling... :-)
