Good Quality Headset
I wanted a headphone/mic set that would allow me to take advantage of speech to text functions, dictation to AI and maybe even some gaming or music listening on the computer. These seem to check off all those requirements. First, these are very comfortable to wear. The 'cloud' name is appropriate for the ear and headband pads. They are adjustable for ear positions and the detachable & adjustable mic works well. The noise cancellation worked well enough for me as I don't hear any outside noise. I like the option for connecting as they have 3.5mm jack, USB and USB-C cables/adapter. With the USB cable adapter, it is more than long enough to reach my computer. The headphone sound was really quite good especially for this price point. The mic picks up sound well enough though comes though a little on the quiet side. Connecting was easy as windows picked it up immediately when plugged in and made it the default. I'm quite happy with these and the price was a good value.

Best Gaming Headset Ever - Amazing Sound & Comfort!
This HyperX Cloud III gaming headset is absolutely phenomenal! The audio quality is crystal clear with incredible depth and richness that brings every game to life. The 53mm angled drivers deliver immersive sound that lets me hear every footstep, gunshot, and ambient detail with perfect clarity. The DTS Headphone:X spatial audio is game-changing for competitive gaming - I can pinpoint enemy locations with incredible accuracy. The comfort level is outstanding - the memory foam ear cushions and padded headband make it easy to wear for extended gaming sessions without any discomfort. The build quality is solid and premium, feeling durable and well-constructed. The microphone quality is excellent with clear voice transmission and effective noise cancellation. My teammates say I sound professional and clear. The wired connection ensures zero latency, which is crucial for competitive gaming. It works flawlessly across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The controls are intuitive and easy to access during gameplay. The cable is well-made and the right length. These are hands-down the best gaming headphones I've ever owned. Worth every single penny for serious gamers!

Great, reliable headphones.
My last pair lasted me just about 5 years. Far more than I've gotten out of any other pair of headphones. They're a great snug fit to your face, and have great microphone quality and speaker quality. They do use a cord that's about a 6-foot reach, so an infinite battery life, but you'll find they'll be worth that hassle. Definitely worth what you pay. They have a sleak design, and they're super light weight.

Good value, low cost comfort, mid-range audio and mic quality.
Good value for the price. I purchased two of these. .:: Raw Scores (not taking cost into consideration) ::. Microphone: (4/10) - Acceptable, but not great. Audio quality: (4/10) - Acceptable, but not great. Weight: (9/10) - Very lightweight, great. Comfort: (7/10) - Good. Wearable for 2-3 hours at a time without discomfort. Not great for longer periods. Thick/warm ear padding. Has a moderate-light clamping pressure and clamp padding is good. Spatial audio: (4/10) - Works but not good for any serious gaming advantage. Overall review: I think this headset earns 4 stars taking price into consideration. It functions perfectly and comfortably enough to use for a budget-friendly gaming headset. However, do not expect high quality hardware in this price range or you will be disappointed. It will not compete nor come close to $150+ headsets in quality but it's comfortable at a lower price range, which is very important if you're on a budget.

FINALLY--A respectable headset
This was the third headset I tried, and I'm sticking with them. My original, cheap "7.1" headset always sounded good on my PS4, but I wanted a new one when I got a PS5 Pro. I tried Corsair, which literally sounded like I was listening to my games through a tin can. So, I tried Razer--same tin can. I couldn't believe how these "PS Certified" headsets sounded so bad. I researched different configurations and tried them all--nothing improved them. Despite never hearing of Hyper X before, these are finally the headsets I'm not returning. I wouldn't say they sound any better than my original surround-sound headset, but they are comfortable and have a lot of convenient touches, like coming with all the adapters you could possibly need, and a detachable mic if you only play solo. Third time is the charm. If you are looking for a cheap-but-solid headset, these are the way to go.

Classic headset for long term gaming
I moved to HyperX after going though multiple Turtle Beach headsets, which all seem to break within a year due to fatigue. The aluminum used in this headset make it very immune to fatigue damage and is still in perfect condition after 6 months of use. The noise is very good and most importantly it is very comfortable for my ears, and does not leave my ears throbbing after an hour of use like most headsets. The sound quality is very good. My only complaint is the unremovable cable and its relative short length. They do give an extra extension cable to adapt to a USB. The cliche "sleek design" is a good way to describe the look.

you get what you pay for... sort of
EDIT: i went through my words and my review and i said to myself "nah, this can't be right" then i went to 2 configurations (screenshots attached): 1. the dolby atmos app where you can see specifically how i eq'd for most app's, music and movies and 2. the ngnuity app that also have its own eq... unfortunately both have to be turned on in order to squeeze the full potential of the headphone, BUT in order to avoid the "box-feeling" sound (or at least eliminate it 85%), do not turn on the virtual surround in any app and maintain the eq the same as me. i used a few spotify tracks to properly eq according to several frequencies that may help you find the correct eq through the days but remember: there's a period of burn-in for headphones/earphones, it varies depends on the diaphragms and its own construction, this is not in our control, however, we can develop it by using it on a daily basis... with high-end headphones/earphones this is a must so you can get the best sound in time... this is the case for all headsets, but mid-ends may not see the same effect as high-end headsets... here are the spotify tracks i used to eq: - in my place - coldplay - funk that - nickodemus, the illustrious black - if anyone cared - nickelback (i know, but its eq it's quite helpful) - show me love - robin s - gangsta's paradise - coolio, l.v. - i get lonely (tnt remix edit) - janet jackson, blackstreet, teddy riley i didn't post any pictures of the device since you can find it from other users that have more experience on that field than i am, but regarding this nitpicky audio thing, here i am. i really hope it helps you to make an informed decision. i still stand by my original review but, with the corrections mentioned above regarding sound :D have a great day! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well... i have a love-hate relationship with this headphone for the following reasons: Design (which is actually ok, i'll give them that, with small caveats): i'm aware that there are people who are more... visually-appealed (so to speak) to stuff and this may not be the one, but functionally it's good! Everything is where it should be, however! (yes, oh dear!) the power button is next to the mute button on the left side, WHY?! who was so against the company that made this decision that went through the whole pipeline without even notice the final product until it hit the shelves? Construction (LOVE IT! PERIOD!): The construction is actually very sturdy and solid, love it from every angle, the earcups swivels a little bit so you can accommodate them to your head or when you put the headsets on your neck stays naturally "at ease", you know?... from this perspective, the construction is not what i expected (i actually expected a cheaper feeling, but it feels a more premium device to be perfectly honest!). It kinda works for long periods of time if you are a regular human being who doesn't sweat so much like me, otherwise, have AC on your room for longer than half an hour of listening. Sound (now this i loathe, kinda... here's where the love-hate conflict is): well... there are certain applications that really does sound good, others really flat, others really hollow and others without bass but in general, the issue is in the lack of middle and mid-lo's, which makes it sound almost like a box, but with too much high and mid-hi's. HOWEVER, it's perfectly balanceable with the Dolby Atmos App in Windows 10/11, but i'm not going to EQ everything i do every time in my computer, who does that these days? i just want something that it's functional and sounds good for long periods of time! is that too much to ask? (well yeah, for less than 100 bucks yeah... i can certify that.... these audiophile ears are way too nitpicky these days). Battery: well this is a surprise to be honest, i wasn't expecting it to last THAT long... i do 12 hour listening sessions and it lasts a lot... i don't count much but in a week maybe 2 times in a week, could be fair?... i don't know for sure cos i really lose the track of time when i get into the headphones... but if you want a headphone that lasts its battery a lot, well here you have it... i don't even notice it during the week (this means a lot to me! don't think that i take for granted what the company gives us with this headphone) until the headset starts a gentle beep to let you know that it's below 25% i think... i don't even remember that much because by the time i start hearing the beep i already take out the headset and put it to charge. Charging time: well i wouldn't know, maybe an hour or 2?... i have several headphones that helps the way, so i wouldn't notice how many hours it takes, the only thing that i notice is that it charges surprisingly fast (well, also time flies, don't take my word for it tho). If you go to bed time and you get up to go to the bathroom at 2 am, it will be charged by then... that's a certainty... YOU CAN use it while it charges, it won't heat the battery within (unlike many many headsets out there... if your current headset heats during charge while on your head and listening, stop using it immediately!). Microphone: It sounds... good? i think?... people hears me loud and clear on discord, which is the whole point of it (although discord have its own issues, so, test it locally within your computer and do not trust discord!) it's a very sensitive server that: it doesn't wanna recognize devices (or if it does, it doesn't work), if the devices works, then there's stuttering, cut audios, you name it, you know all these stuff like i do as well, you know the struggle!... If you purchase this product then FIRST test it on your computer, if it works well there then trust me, it's your application, not your microphone! Oh i almost forgot about the headband! i'm a bald guy so i kinda can see the band on my head when i take out my headphones... i personally love it because then people "notices that i work too much and too hard" and i'm like "yeah right! XD"... this is a paramount wisdom that i will give you that this headset have that almost no other headset have: if you press it too hard to your head it will stay with a similar pressure but at a comfortable level, but don't complain later about that you get a soar ear/face or a band mark on top of your head because it will make you hurt if you press it too hard, let it sit on you and get use to it. The earcup simil leather is a special case, it's hot but at the same time it's not... it kinda wants to accommodate to you but it kinda doesn't... i don't know "how to feel about this" (which i honestly at this point i don't care), but some people may worry or feel uncomfortable about it, so i'll leave it here just in case.. maybe with a few more hundreds of "burn-in hours" may found the proper wear for my face? We don't know... only time will tell... i don't think about it when i put it, i just think like "oh my god what a bad sound, but it does sounds good tho" If you read this, it means that you're seriously considering to purchase this product... if you don't honestly mind the kinda-hollow sound that some apps may have (you may not notice) and you're looking for something that potentially could last you a few years and spare the mistreated wallet, then go for it, you won't regret the purchase, that's a guarantee and i'm saying this because that's exactly the reason that i bought it and probably the reason you will as well, including a very valid reason: it's functional without needing to baby the product! (i know! right?! finally!) BUT i you are looking for a high-end sound with neutral balance or warm sound with balance mids, lo's and hi's, for below 99 dollars (before taxes), trust me, there's no such device and this product DEFINETLY is not for you, look elsewhere without even hesitation... ALL devices that you're looking for worth from 399 and above (maybe 299 but that's a stretch these days).
