Try to jump the gun too soon, and you'll get a little flame show when you strike an arc. Ask me how I know. Once it’s fully cured, though? It welds beautifully. I was skeptical at first, but it is actually a pretty good product! I used this on my 1976 C10 truck bed after I sanded it down to bare metal. I needed to fill some holes but I wasn’t ready to do it the same night. I came back the next night and welded in the holes without a problem. I will definitely be ordering more of this for my other trucks I’m working on.

This works great for welding. A must have if you are working on doing patch panels. Great coverage easy to use and lays down smooth. Great adhesion and great value for the money.

worked very well so far, sprayed nice, stuck well to sanded and prepped surface. Welded through nicely (as nicely as can be expected) should hold up well. Dried faster than expected, and kept work flow going.

Coverage on new bare metal and metal sanded clean is excellent. Weld thru was perfect. Primed all new welds. Ready for topcoat. Very pleased.

I had never used weld through primer before (didn't know it existed really!) and I was very pleased with the result. Sprays out like any other primer/paint and dries very fast so you don't have to wait long before welding. Welding through this primer doesn't cause expensive smoke or spatter in fact the resulting welds are quite clean, highly recommend.
