I specifically wanted these for using over a very dark wood and the illustration indicated they would work for this. Well, they some of the colours do, but not that clearly. For other uses they are no doubt very good, as stated by other reviews, so I didn't like to take off a star. Best to use in a ventilated area - I didn't, and felt slightly sick after. One point no one else has mentioned - the instructions on the back are not very well translated, and have a, presumably unintentional, very rude swear word, which really must be changed. Perhaps people could scribble over this before giving to children.

They only get a 1 🌟 from me. Unfortunately I bought these for my kids to draw on ceramic cups and although they do look bright and vibrant on the cups they just don't last. The colours bled into one another. We baked ours because most sites suggest baking oil based inks onto ceramics and the colours completely changed. I was careful not to put in the dishwasher and washed by hand but unfortunately it just wiped right off. To top this all off I decided to check the instructions and as many have stated there's a terrible translation and a rude word. It's a good thing I didn't get the kids to read it to me!

Following from other reviews about the swear words on the packaging, I thought I'd share what appears to be new packaging. There is nothing written on it (FYI, no directions either) and it is now in a really nice, sturdy clear plastic box with carry handles.I can't comment on the pens as they're for a gift but the items new packaging is perfect for this

Bought them for painting rocks and pottery, not paint at all just a set of normal markers, and unless the rocks were snow white the colours barely show. Very expensive mistake for me as I paid for delivery to Ireland so they cost me almost €20, I can buy markers for a couple of euro in any nearby shop....don’t recommend for arts and crafts, just colouring

Unfortunately there is a small crack in the container making closing it a little difficult but otherwise the total package is good. Markers are easy to handle and well presented. A good Product.

These are great market pens, but they’re not oil based or chalk as described. Neither are they permanent. They get 2 stars because they are pens and the returns process was quick.

They are so nice to use and cheap well worth the money , infact I have bought another set well worth the money. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great set of pens

These are nice felt tips but are no good for writing on dark colours....they are not chalk pens. You can use them on ceramics as long as they are very light in colour
