The red LED just stops illuminating when the battery is fully charged. **Q: No Bluetooth? and is the sound loud enough?** A: I dont use Bluetooth and I'm a Gardener and can hear it whilst mowing. Reception good even in remote gardens we work in. I always like radios louder but the highest setting is fit for purpose. They are robust and recharge every evening in about one hour or slightly longer if I drain them completely which I try not to do. I do not use them in the rain.
