Lightweight
It’s not real heavy or anything but I like it . It’s a nostalgic piece and my kiddos love to play with it and take it in the car! We also bought a case, which I recommend!

MEH (Close to very good)
This is a VERY cheap retro handheld device. Yes, it feels like a $20 retro handheld but its fun! It has a bunch of games that I was familiar with and many I am not. They have a handful of Mario Games (Mario 3 is great), Dig Dug, Pacman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Galaxion, and Contra. I would be completely fine with this device (considering the price) if ONLY you could save your games. I would be ok with the cheaper feel, tinny but functional speakers, and the repeated games in the listing....if only you could save your games in progress! Grrrr.Regardless of this core issue I will still enjoy playing these games! Looking forward to getting a higher quality device soon.

Great for kids on long car rides
Okay, there is a bit of a caveat with this in that we have a car with a USB port in the back seat that's easily accessible for the kids meaning that they don't have to worry about it dying on the trip, but even still, unless they're using the controller without it connected to the TV or other nonsense like that, it does decently well with the SOC they chose to run the emulator on.Besides that, it's well constructed and is absolutely loaded with the classic games, but anyone who knows a thing or 2 will immediately realize the games don't run exactly right for someone who's played the originals, but for a fresh pair of eyes, it's fine. They aren't even used to the pace or anything like that and all the different games mean that they really can't get bored with the thing! Not only that, it does handle some mishandling by hands that aren't really that careful, but I'd still make sure they understand to be careful since it's not invincible like some of the systems of old.Basically, in my opinion, this is targetted at someone who hasn't actually played the classics (like your kids) and not those who grew up with the actual games, but even still, it's fun to slightly relive the old days of gaming and compare to what we know and see now, but even still, the classics hold up and can enthrall a new generation of kids all over again with devices like this.
