they worked
i liked the fact that once setup via the app. Alexa worked with these perfectly. however, i am now having issues with one of them. it wont switch off or on plug2. the other one still works perfectly. to me it looks like, a timer that has blown and stays in the on position, even when the timer switches off or when you manually press the on off button on the plug, surely it could not have blown anything, since it was just for 1 led strip? but it is looking like it has. this means it is a cheap as chips production item. not fully tested and not reliable. 2 plugs bought and only 1 now works after a week! i will be returning my faulty plug asap. but they do the trick if you get good ones :)

Good product
Connection to ipad was reasonably ok after some messing about. Echo dot worked for 5 minutes and then stopped working. Tried to get another password via Get Code but constantly got API fail.re-reviewed:- The plug has started to work today, via Alexa, so I have given the product 3 stars. Hopefully this will last!Final review:Ok, I have increased the rating up to 4 stars now as the plugs have become very reliable. Alexa responds to the voice commands very well and the plug works faultlessly. I can only assume that the initial problems I had were due to the Leyuee server being down. Very satisfied.

Doesnt work with 5g they needed to tell you this luckily my internet allows access to the 2g aswell. good other than that does what there supposed to do and works well with alexa

Very good.
Slightly sceptical of these sockets after done iffy reviews and the hugely cheaper price than my existing Hive sockets. Pleased to say no problems at all. Followed the instructions by installing the Smart Life app on my phone, plugging in the socket, pressing the power button till blue light flashes then discover on the app. To enable with Alexa, enable the Smart Life skill in the Alexa app and it will then discover. What I did like was I added another socket in the Smart Life app nd Alexa found without having to rescan. I will be buying more of these and recommending to friends.

Great product which works well
Worked perfectly first time with app and Alexa. Had to use AP mode to connect to the app. This is the third smartplug from different manufacturers that I've tried but although the installation process was identical these were the only ones that worked with Alexa. Uses smartlife app which is a Tuya app and feels robust enough in use. Don't forget to split 2.4 and 5ghz bands if you have a dualband router. The smartplugs use the 2.4ghz band but won't connect via auto band selection unlike virtually every other device I know about. You may have to temporarily disable to 5ghz band whilst installing the smartplugs. Your phone and Alexa both need to be on the 2.4 band as well.

Had difficulty in connecting plugs to wi-fi but eventually after fiddling about got both plugs connected. No problem with my Android smartphone App but again had a problem with getting the App on my iPad. However I Googled Jinvoo and got the App straight away. Now both plugs are connected & work 100%. Hence 4 star.

Don't work with IFTTT
Annoyingly, these don't work with IFTTT. I assumed that they would because they use the same Smart Life app as other smart sockets. They work fine with Alexa but because of the lack of IFTTT support I couldn't do what I wanted to do with them.

Excellent product. Easy set up
Was worried by reviews that these would be difficult to set up but it was so simple. Set up both in less than 5 mins and the App is so simple to use. No more bending under the Christmas tree to turn the lights off! Very pleased with this purchase - would highly recommend.
