So these lights are okay, but definitely nothing to write home about.There are separate red, green, and blue LEDs instead of any kind of standard RGB integrated SMD LED, so your non primary colors look awful. I was really hoping for a nice purple, or the lighter blue, but nope. The "Purple" is the separate red and blue LEDs lighting up next to each other, which you can clearly see both of without a trace of purple, so that's a bummer. But hey, the regular blue is pretty neat.As others have mentioned, it's a pain to install, and after watching a few (extremely blurry) videos of people installing it on the outside of the internal plastic structure within the controller, i quickly realized that with them placed there, you have to have the wires bent in all sorts of directions to keep them from interfering with the thumb stick when you're moving them around, as well as pressing the sticks in and moving around (as with some shooters). So I HIGHLY recommend breaking it down and attaching it to the PCB underneath the black plastic inner shell, that way there's no chance of it kinking the wire and pulling it off the joystick module (and jamming it. ask me how i know)Also, the leads to connect them behind the prongs on the battery terminal are a joke, and require you to place them between the prongs and the plastic. If you have the Charge and Play battery pack which utilizes the charging terminal within the battery trey, then you cant do this easily without things getting it in the way. So i cut the metal prods off the end of the wire leads and soldered them directly to the prongs. Problem solved.Also, these shake to change colors thing is a massive pain, and it will change colors on me even if I'm barely moving the controller, and they also have and auto shutoff after 2 minutes of you not shaking it. That's all you get, no "unless you do this". You get 2 minutes, and it shuts off. It's only convenient when I'm done playing. But if I'm playing and want them on the entire time (yes, I would actually like them on the whole time, except they change color with every over exaggerated button press soooooooo) i want the to be able to do that. Or turn them off without them being woken back up with each shake. The biggest kicker, is that if I'm traveling and the controller is in my bag, every step causes the lights to go off. For 2 minutes. This has nearly killed a battery from 100% charged, right off the charger. Granted, the battery is about a year old at this point and has probably been past its prime, but a 30 minute walk to a friends after having these installed killed it to about 40%, and the case i have the controller inside of in my backpack prevents the controller buttons from being pressed, and accidentally turning it on and killing it, so it was strictly from the lights and the control module.and holy crap, the rattle from the color changing mechanism is atrociously annoying, with its constant rattle, i keep thinking there's a loose screw in there.These are simply "ok" and if you're looking for some light of modules for your thumb sticks, then go ahead and get these, but don't expect too much from them.
