Denby Greenwich Teapot

I love the form of Denby mugs, the bulbous body leading to a narrower mouth. It's elegant, and I've found that it helps to minimize spills as you're walking the coffee from the kitchen to the table.I bought these cups for as a gift for a woman who later agreed to marry me. (Perhaps the cups helped. At least, they didn't hurt.)These are high-quality pieces of craftsmanship. The white glaze on the inside is pristine and glistening. The green has on the exterior appears deep and rich, and the finish is flawless.I know it's just a mug, but I find that my coffee tastes better when I drink it from these mugs.

Love it. The color is so nice and love the shape

Denby Pottery is timeless in its beauty and durability. Greenwich is the most popular and best-selling Denby pattern of all time. All pieces are dishwasher and oven safe. They are very heavy, so don't try to lift more than a few plates at a time. They are exceptionally durable and of excellent quality. The color is a bluish green and goes very well with just about any decor.I've been collecting this pattern for 10 years and have noticed that it gets periodic updates by the production of new shapes. For instance, the current tea cup is different from that of 10 years ago, which I've recently seen listed at "Classic." They also offer product registration so that you will be notified a year in advance of any discontinuations. There was at one time a complimentary group called "Greenwich Accent" that featured a multi-colored band around the rim of the plate, around the neck of the pitchers and on the casserole lids. When they retired that pattern a notice went out to registered owners so they could order any desired pieces.This is a wonderful company that produces beautiful yet durable dishware. There is a reason they have been in business for 200 years!

Purchased after one of my rice bowls chipped and cracked. I've collected Denby Greenwich for almost 20 years and its rich colour and style looks as good on our table now as it did then. These bowls are ideal for serving condiments, side dishes and of course, rice. Description says this bowl has a crisp, white centre to allow the food to take centre stage - this is not true of the rice bowl, but describes the soup and cereal bowls correctly. The colour of the rice bowl is completely sea-green.

Did not arrive as expected

This replaced another Denby mug that I had for about 20 years. Nothing lasts these days. This mug keeps my tea from spilling on my lap, which is no mean achievement these days. Keep up the good work, Denby!
