I've had other sourdough jars that are more narrow and tall and smaller in volume capacity. Those worked well enough, but I do really like the wider mouth form factor that allows me to make so much more starter. The jar lid is made from wood and has a nice plastic interior lid that seals well. If I have to replace the ones I recently purchased, I would definitely order these again.

If my other jar lasts the month, I will be ordering again to see if it was a fluke.They're a great size and the kit is adorable.Stirring my 2 day old sourdough starter and the glass just breaks. Had to throw the whole thing out and order a new starter. The kit is cute, but I'm annoyed with the frailty. I was literally just stirring inside the jar, didn't knock it against anything.

I cannot even begin to tell you just how many things are wrong with this set, but I’ll try. To start with, after the second wash the measuring lines on jars disappeared completely. The spatulas are so flimsy, they are hard to use for mixing a starter. The little fabric to cover the jar with does not breathe at all! (it's 100 per cent polyester). The "thermometer" is supposed to stick to the jar—didn't happen. And finally, the band that supposedly measures the starter stretched so badly after three or four uses that didn't stay on; it kept falling off. Please, do yourselves a favor, do not waste your money on this set.Tuesday, April 23, 2024I’m editing my review because I wanted to add that after reading my review, the seller contacted me. An apology was offered for the inconvenience, as well as a full refund—which was immediately applied to my account, and an implied promise that they will improve the quality of the product, or at least try. I am impressed by this seller. Not every seller does this, regardless of the review. And for the excellent customer service alone, I am changing the rating to four stars.

The glass feels a little thin, but they're otherwise great starter feeding jars.I've used these for about a month for a new starter. I have done 200g and 400g volumes with great results and haven't yet spilled over into the fabric lid. My general volume is 300g, as I bake often. I use the second jar for levains with also great success.The temperature strips are great but overkill unless you have inconsistent temperatures where you're storing your starter. Make sure you peel off the almost invisible protective sheet on top of the thermometer. I thought I damaged it while washing - it's just packaging.Hand wash only. I don't know if it's dishwasher safe but I wouldn't trust it.

Perfect, perfect, PERFECT! Was everything I needed in one package! I have zero complaints about any of the products. I don’t utilize the measuring tapes but everything else is so useful and great quality

I ordered in July and have been using for roughly a month and a half. I love the size, shape and accessories. However both jars have failed (crack where side wall meets bottom) within a couple weeks of eachother. The first one had a tiny piece missing in it and the second one had a circular crack in it.
