My desk is just over 50 ft away from the wall jack for the internet. The last cable we purchased was a 50 ft Cat 6, but was flat, not very sturdy and did not last very long. This cable is thick and sturdy so the internal wires will not break as easily. I work from home on a LOT of daily video calls. The Cat 8 speed is much faster for that much band-width. Highly recommend.

Thought I got a really good deal on this Cat 8 Ethernet cable and visually it looks like a good quality item. However it failed less than 24 hours after it was installed. Verizon tech isolated my “no internet” problem to faulty cable! Needless to say I was surprised given it was newly installed and worked for less than 24 hours!! Cable was straight run from ONT box in cellar to first floor router- bought longer cable than needed to be safe so no tight radii bends. Verizon tech said most likely poor connection at connector. Bought on deal way ahead of install thinking what can go wrong with simple cable so now outside return window and stuck with it. You get what you pay for so recommend paying more for higher quality cable from more reputable Seller or make sure you use it immediately so you can preserve your return window if you get a junk cable like I did.

I actually really like these Ethernet cables. The cables are bendy and makes it WAY easier to move around or through things. And the black just looks clean. Glad I found these.
