This is plastic, turns really well and has a grippy surface. My house is small and storage is minimal so I love that I can just slide it into my baking drawer. It really made Xmas cake decorating so much easier and I know it will help with the first birthday cake of the year next week. Yes if I had a big house and/or spent a lot of my time decorating cakes I would probably have bought a big tall thing, but this is perfect for me!

Overall the product is ‘okay’. However, it turns on a small metal point on top of a bolt head, this makes it unstable and not great. You assume when the materials say “plastic” that would also include the area for the cake (possibly rubber), however it is a foam insert and would not easily be cleaned if you got buttercream on it.Either spend more or spend less on another item, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

Such a useful whirler for pottery at home. So compact, easy to put away as it does not take up room. Originally used for cakes but can be used for sculptures, pottery or anything else to help you with craft work. Brilliant thing to have.

Fast delivery from supplier. The turntables worked well enough but I wanted to use these for spices and tins inside cupboards and as they are without any form of lip they are designed for cake icing so things tend to slip off them. But if you want to use them for icing cakes then they are perfect.
