I like the extra two inches for learning. Only downside is keeping the ends down perfectly flat, but we have hard wood floors. I gotta see if I can figure out a way to make it stay down and not slip at all, so it is safer for learning hard tricks like back handpsprings, that are far too scary right now for my 7 year olds to try on the 4 inch.
