UpCart Original Red Hand Cart

I’ve been sitting each day in the hospital with my mother for a week. After several days of hauling in bags of her stuff (and mine) and carrying bags of stuff home, my shoulders and wrists were hurting. I had seen the UpCart informercial several years ago and wanted one, but the price at the time kept me from ordering one. But now I really had a need for a cart like this, especially since I often end up parked in the last hospital parking lot way down a hill that’s terraced and has several sets of long steps. This cart arrived in two days, is easy to use and meets all my needs. I also ordered the lightweight bag separately that goes with it. I thought the price for the bag was a bit high, but it’s very roomy and has Velcro straps on the bottom and back to keep it from falling off the cart. We also go regularly to a little lake house where we have to park at the top if a steep hill and carry all of our stuff up and down, which is exhausting, so this cart will be great for those trips. Also, I do all of my mom’s grocery shopping. And when she buys her diet soda, she waits until it’s on sale—and you have to buy FIVE cartons to get the sale price. Oh, how I hate carrying all those heavy drinks in! So I will definitely be using this cart for grocery shopping! As you may be able to tell, I am a very cheap person who is careful with money, but I think this cart is worth every penny I paid for it.

The cart helps a bit with stairs, increases your ability to haul a heavier load up a flight of stairs. Design flaw: you can't put a wide load on the bed, as the load space is limited by a metal lip on both sides. That is definitely a problem, not all heavy loads are skinny ones!

First, the item is certainly lightweight as advertised, but that is part of it's downfall also. I do not think that I would try to move 100 lbs on this hand truck as the advertisement states. I carry about 65 lbs on mine and that appears to be stressing the wheels and the assembly. In hindsight, I would have made my selection one that is somewhat heavier and stronger. This will work well for very light loads and has its niche, just not what I really needed.

I love that I can move most anything anywhere without a lot of effort. I always make several trips to unload groceries, etc from my car. Now I can usually do it with 1 or 2 loads depending on the amount of weight (I can't lift anything too heavy). During Christmas, I was able to load all my gifts onto the cart to move to my wrapping station and then move them to another location for my son to pick them up and carry to his home.Patricia

I love this hand cart because it works so well. I'm about seventy years old and carrying heavy stuff up my stairs is getting harder and harder. With this hand cart it makes it so easy. My back is doing a lot better because I use this hand cart to lift everything. I highly recommend this cart to everyone.

This is great and SO helpful!! Works right out of the box, just unfold and go. I used it originally to lug heavy pumpkins to the curb after Halloween and it worked great. It also works very well on stairs, both carpeted and wood. Glad I went with this brand/style which appears to have the longest handle vs the competition — that saves my back from bending over.

I move 40 pound bags of wood pellets up the stairs. Never had a problem. This is my second one because my daughter has my first one. It is helping her move boxes.

Comes fully assembled, video was very helpful on how to operate this. I am 66 years old with mobility issues and often had to wait for help to move items. With the UpCart I was able to easily move several heavy items up and down stairs without assistance.
