From thick and curly to voluminous and smooth
This was such a great buy. Note that even though it says steam, there's still a heat element in the brush, so you're still hurting your curls. I used Tigi heart protector spray before every"go" with the brush, straightened the sections, then followed with Chi straight guard cream. It normally takes 2 ~hours to straighten my hair and it took 30 minutes with this guy. It's straightening the hair in one go, please please please Read the instructions carefully before you start. The water container/reservoir is tricky to fill. If you're not pressing at the right angle, it will come out the other hole (physics, yo).

Great on curly, chemically treated hair
This left my hair softer and straighter than any straightening iron I’ve tried before. My hair is naturally curly/kinky and had been chemically straightened for the past 15 years. You can get close to the root, which is key for those of us with texture issues, and it feels far less damaging than traditional straightening irons. It holds well overnight compared to my high end ceramic iron, which requires me to straighten the roots each morning. Definitely give it a shot.

Love this steamer!
This is a great straightener for a decent price. It's a bit hard to clean but overall a great purchase!

Only used once...
Unfortunately, I only used this item once. I found it to be difficult for me to handle as it is big, bulky and awkward for me to use. I used it once shortly after I received it and then put it away thinking that I would try it again when I had more time to work with it. This morning I was ready to give it another try. I added the water and turned it on anxious to give it another try, but it no longer works. It's been approximately 8 days past the time that I can return it...Murphy's Law.

I would like ok say I Love this Pro-Steam Brush, I have naturally curly hair, I wanted too find a faster way too shampoo and style, with this I just shampoo towel dry my hair, and use the ion Brush, I do apply a heat protectant first time I got perfect results!! Then only flat iron my hair.. say good bye too your blow dryer

Another one that can’t stand up to the humidity.
I tried a lot of flat irons and this didn’t work on my hair. (Caucasian, not thick or thin hair, a quick victim of the humidity). The one product that does work is the L’Oréal Steampod which costs a small fortune but I finally rationalized it because it actually works.

Absolutely love this.
Absolutely love this!! I blow dried my hair first then steamed it. The results are amazing. Not bone straight which I like since my hair is on the thin side. I have type 4b 4c curlys.

Not for thick hair!
My end results was average. Little compartment to add water was a pain to slide off. I had to fill it with water numerous times. i have thick curly hair so, it a work out on my arms. I’ll continue to get my hair professional blown out. Retuned
