Bought for our leopard gecko tank. We were having trouble keeping the humidity down. Purchased this and haven't had a problem! Works great!!

Returned due to missing temp/humidity sensor

Its quite noisy if it sits horizontally.After reading some of the reviews again, I saw one or two people turning them upside down, in hopes that it would help sucking the humid air out, but putting it vertically or turning it around makes it even louder.The humidity might be a problem with my room or what not, but it did not help regulating it at all really.I am curious what this Metal Grid inside it is. I thought its more than just a fancy, bright blinking fan that blows air through my Terrarium.

My daughters snake cage does NOT have a wire mesh top, its a custom made plexiglass towpath air holes in it. It got very humid in the cage suddenly so I bought this, only being big enough sitting on top of the plexiglass over only 2 of the air holes it surprised me at how well it worked at alleviating the humidity. Only issue is that even though fairly quiet, its loud enough to bother the snake, and loud enough that my daughter shuts it off at night. Also there is no power button, you have to unplug the cord from the fan to shut it off, but it does maintain the memory of your settings when you plug it back in.

Fan stopped working after about 3 months of use. The light flashing indicates the fan should be spinning, but it does not.
