I have purchased several of these types of gates over the years for pets. This is one of the best gates I have ever had - very good quality, sturdy, easy to open and close. It also has the function of staying open when pushed past a certain point and it ACTUALLY stays open. Really nice feature. The adjustable cat door is nice, but be aware that it does rattle. With that in mind, your cat WILL rattle that bad boy when their food dish is empty. At 2 AM. Just sayin'.It installs very easily and sits securely in the doorway and really doesn't budge once it's in place. I have bumped into it several times and it hasn't moved.The only potential issue is that this is a "tall" gate which means it is roughly as high as your average doorknob. I have a gate on a door with a regular "ball" type knob and one on a door with a handle-type knob and both hit the top of the gate, preventing you from being able to close the door fully. Additionally, the part of the gate that impacts the doorknob is the stationary side piece, so even having the gate open will not allow you to fully close the door.Not a terrible issue, but one to be aware of. I have had the shorter, "regular" height gates and they end just underneath the knob and you can close the door. Just an FYI.Overall, a very nice quality gate that works well.

First and foremost, I’d like to say that whatever the reason you need a baby gate, I’d recommend this one by far over other brands. It’s definitely worth spending the extra money over other popular brands.I adopted a new dog who tends to chase my cat, so I needed baby gates on a couple of rooms. For one room, I pulled out my old Regalo walk thru gate that I have had since my kid was a toddler (~9 years). Score for me never throwing anything out.The other room, where her food is, I wanted to have a way for the cat to get in without having to jump over it. The opening on the gate works perfectly for her on the second rung. My dog can probably get through the opening when it’s all the way up, as she got really close when she tried before I stopped her, but on the second rung, the cat can just dive through easily, and the dog can’t even get her head through.The other feature I love is that the door opens so easily, by lifting it, and swings the whole gate in either direction, and will lock into place when fully open. It’s just so much easier to walk through holding stuff than the Regalo, with the narrow opening. I bang myself on the Regalo frame frequently, but that isn’t a problem with this gate.My dog is a large framed dog, about 50 pounds, who is overly hyperactive and excitable, and jumps like a kangaroo, but she can’t get over this gate. It hasn’t budged at all since it was installed, even with her jumping on it, and throwing her wait against it. I’m impressed with the sturdiness and how it’s held up over the eight months that I’ve had it.

I love everything about this babygate. I'm using it to keep cats in their bedroom and the dogs out! Perfect security! Quite sturdy for the value. Also this gate is easy to install. I hope to keep this gate for a long time!

We needed a gate that kept the big dog on one side and the other pets on the other. Our mini pig and cat fit through the small door easily (both under 10 lbs), and our dog stays on her side.We had purchased several other tension gates that just would not hold up to our dog. She was able to pull the gate down to get to the other pet's food and litter box. Not this gate! It's snug and stayed put with her initial attempts. She finally gave up and we have hormany again.It's stable, practical, and does what it advertises. The cost matches it's durability. The closure is tight, and easy to open and close one handed. The small door on the bottom stays up when you want, and closes when you need it to. So far it has held up wonderfully.I'm 5'3" and can step over the gate when closed on my tippy toes.

I almost never give a five-star review, but this gate gets five. It is very strongly built - it doesn't feel flimsy at all. Easy to install, latches easily and securely, easy to open - it ticks all of the boxes.What's not to like? - I might take off a fourth of a star here because the instructions could be better, but the instructions aren't bad - it is still easy to install. I expected the screws that go into the sides to secure the gate in place to be themselves secured into the gate, but they aren't. They just slip into the sides of the gate, and would fall out if you turned the gate on its side. However, they tighten up properly and easily and the gate won't slip or fall.

The gate works great. The one hand operation is really easy. The adjustable pet door with different size openings is nice. Took a little effort to get it set up but love it.

Works great but gard to know how to open once installed. Directions say to push both buttons but no mention that you actually have to lift the gate up over the stop on the bottom bar. Until we went on line and read another review we couldn't open it!! We like that it opens both way s and cat gate can be opened ir closed. Definitely worth the extra money over cheaper one we bought and returned.

Having 3 big dogs and 2 cats these gates have made my life so much easier. They are super sturdy and stay in place very well with the cups that screw into the wall. My dogs can’t just push them over like others. I have tried just about every gate there is and this design is one of the best. I highly recommend.

A bit challenging to make it fit snugly enough for safety as the bolts are twisted to create a tension fit between the wall and the other side post. Helps to have a second set of hands.

Best dog gate I've owned. Affixes to wall very securely; high quality and durability; latches well. Definite recommend.
